Hard Rock/marriott
Was thinking passing on Phuket this year and trying Pattaya as I've never been there just wanted to see if any of you Pattaya regulars could give me some tips on these two Hotels, from what I understand both have great rooms, very nice pools and close to the beach.
The HR is a bit further from the action but is also a little less expensive than the Marriott, will I need a tuk tuk every time I go to walking street or is it close to walk to?

I wouldn't stay at either place, but if you insist on the Hard Rock, you can always take a baht bus down to Walking Street. They come by about every 10 seconds. Do a little research. There are lots of nice places in Pattaya that are girl friendly and not too much money.

After doing a bit of research (just lazy) I narrowed it down to these two, although I am not a rich man It is a vacation and I want a place that is as nice as home or even better.
I have read the HR and the Marriott is hit and miss as far as GF.
Mainly just wanted to know from anyone that had stayed at either recently had any opinions.
Thanks

There are many GF hotels that are nice enough. Besides the joiner fees at the HR will bring the value way down. I've stayed at Pattaya Bay resort and Sandy Springs. Both modern and 100% GF. Approx 1300bt

Thanks I looked at both nice places and can get a suite for less than 100 bucks but I dont think Sandy Sping has Wi Fi?
I stay at Dynasty Grande in BKK and Sandy looks about the same.

I allways stay in Marriott. It is GF, no joiner fee. Fantastic breakfast and nice swimming pool. Internet connection is expensive.

I have read elsewhere that the Hard Rock is not GF but the Marriott is .
There is action all over Pattaya.
They have baht buses which are cheap and easy to use.

I always stay at the Marriott. Its an excellent hotel IMHO. Really good service, pool, restaurants and very well located. Its also GF which is amazing. I've had multiple girls back in the loom and they've never batted an eyelid.
As you say you are on holiday and if you want to splash out, then up to you. That's the view I always take.

Forgot to mention...
If you are a Marriott Rewards member, they have a deal on for 3rd night free if you stay for 2 nights - all of their hotels in Thailand - up to end october.
If you're not a member, then sign up, visit the member's site and the offer should be on the deals page.
