I like to try out different hotels and have included pics from some in which I stayed in recent trips. All were guest friendly. You can get special rates on the Citin Loft, Amari Nova Suites and Mantra Pura through several of the hotel booking sites. If you need more information, it's best to go directly to the hotels' Web sites.

Some more pics from Secrets. In the first two, the girls are holding the new "Pattaya Punter" plush figure.

Terrific TR as always Evil - you have a style all of your own which I think is much appreciated by us BM's.
I will be in Patts during August for 3 weeks and hope I can 'bump' into a few lovelies like the ones in your pics myself ....555

nice TR report
but i find it sort of odd that you post this eleborate TR on a board that you don't even interact with( actually usualy don't even respond to replies in these TR's)
i can imagine it takes a long time to post this

But I wouldn't recommend it - it's the worst place to stay in Pattaya, especially long-term.

The bar fine for hostesses is always 400 baht. For coyote dancers it is either 600 baht or 1,000 baht, depending on the point in time you bar fine them. I believe the line goes at 3 p.m. for the afternoon shift coyotes and at 1.00 a.m. for the evening coyotes, but others may be able to answer more definitively.

The extent of my participation is largely governed by how much time I have. I read this and every other board mainly for the T/R's and for "hard information" about hotels, restaurants, nightspots, etc. I try to give back by submitting the same type of post, i.e., informative and entertaining.
Because I'm familiar with the software I use to create the reports, it actually goes fast for me.

A high quality TR in every respect. You have helped me make up my mind as to whether I should go to Phuket or Pattay in October and I think I'll be heading for Pattaya. I was there in January and had ball so only 12 weeks to go and its showtime!

Thank you. Pattaya and Phuket each have their special charm and if your budget and number of vacation days allow it, you should visit both. If you enjoy the beach/ocean, then Phuket is infinitely better than Pattaya. You'll find plenty of pretty girls everywhere.

I paid about 1,300 baht/night, but the hotel is offering rates of 1,000 baht and 1,500 (for a mini-suite). Not sure if the discount prices include the tax and service charges.
It is guest friendly. It's a good hotel if you like hanging around the swimming pool during the day, but there isn't much in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The baht bus runs right outside the hotel entrance, sp getting places isn't that much of a problem.

Hi Evil,
Thanks for the reply, any idea how things are in Bangkok at the moment particularly in Cowboy and Nana .Are they busy with plenty of girls about or is the economic situation taking its toll there as well?

I'm not in Bangkok now, but a month ago Cowboy and Nana seemed quite busy, at least on the nights I was there. Certainly there was no shortage of girls. The bars that cater to Japanese customers weren't as busy as usual because of the huge drop off in tourists and business visitors from Japan.
But the most popular farang-oriented places were pretty much as usual. The Tilac Bar on Soi Cowboy was so crowded it was hard to find a seat. The open beer bars in and around Nana were also doing a good trade, although some of the girls commented that "man only drink, no bar fine."
