Out of Patong a simple little place can be 5 - 10..

In Patong you would get a BG type room (no kitchen) for about 5.. Getting near to 10 you would get a studio room (bigger, nice, TV included, possibly no kitchen) for about 10..

Between 10 - 15 gets you the kitchen and a nice little apartment in Patong, possibly access to a pool or similar...

Even on a budget I always think its worth spending an extra little bit to get a nice place to stay.. If you go too cheap you end up with the walls closing in and you are out in bars all day and night, its easy to drop 2k in a bar so just one or 2 nights being able to stay home, watch a movie, relax and read a book etc saves the difference.

Cool

You haven't said where in Thailand you are looking, so I have assumed Phuket and here is a link that might help,

http://www.phuketdir.com/category.htm

It would also be worth looking at some of the guesthouses to see if they will rent you a room or apartment for 1,2,3 months.

For example, Paddy's Inn is fairly close to Patong Beach and has the following rates for a minimum 3months stay...
Room with Fan 6,000baht/month
Hotel Room 15,000baht/month
2 bed apartment (1 storey) 14,000baht/month
2 bed suite 16,000baht/month
2 bed apartment (2 storey) 19,000baht/month

Good luck
Diz

Cool

I came across this site a while back when looking for places in Bangkok as I was working there for a short while...

http://www.thailongstay-tlm.com/intro.cfm

From what I recall there's some info on there about Pattaya but I guess the best thing to do is put a search in to google.com with the searchwords "pattaya rental apartment" or something similar. Pattaya used to be my favourite haunt, until I found Phuket !!

Good luck
Diz
