hi was just reading on pattaya it sounds like a good place , had to have a look at where it was , didnt know ! question is it as good as patong or better or worse or to much for a newbie ? thanks

The nightlife scene in Pattaya is probably ablout 100 times bigger than Patong, or at least it seems that way. Prices are a little bit cheaper for just about everything, but I'm not sure I'd let that be the deciding factor. Phuket has nicer beaches, scuba diving, etc. Personally, I like Patong beach. It's small enough to walk around but there's still a lot to do.

IF its your first time in los i would personally give pattaya a miss if you are going alone i love the place but i have been 18 times and also i have always been with a group of mates its an amazing place there seems to be bars and bgs everywhere the problem is you lose control and before you know whats hit you you find you have 1 week of your holiday left and no money because although everything is cheaper the girls there are expert in getting money from first timers before long you will find yourself heading for the gold shop or getting the buffalo story.

But if you still want to go Pm me and i will give you some info on cheap but good hotel and bars and go gos that you can go to without being ripped off and more importantly bars to avoid
