Pattaya on flemisch television: scandal!
All the newspapers, readerscollumns are full of a television report about Pattaya.
What you see is Belgians installed in Pattaya, among them Kingston, Kingston singer LOU. It is clear that the scene is much "more in your face "then Phuket, but I got 2 phonecalls of people asking "are you spending your hollidays there?!" What you se is the disgusting kind of guys, and I mean disgusting, enjoying company of lB's, Bg's and saying things like "if I don't want them in the morning, I just kick them out!" When you see it like this it is very sad. for the farangs as for the Tg's. Sometimes I see reports about Phuket and I get cheerfull, not this. Although at x-mas, Bangla was a bit similar, in generally I think you find a bit of everything. As you see the Bm's in Mai Thai, they do not come close to these guys. If it was like that in Phuket, simply, you would not see me there! Meanwhile everybody is taking now Thailand as a big *****house again. And it make lads like us frawned up on. My dutch, french aint the best but watched it anyway, maybe someone can translate it :P
No offence to all the old fellas but when it comes to documentaries about pattaya, phuket etc etc - why do they always pick some old guys to be in it ? I guess it wouldn´t be as "interesting" if they put younger guys in it.....? what the hell was Fidel Castro doin on Koh Larn by the way ?

It is not about young or old, it is about ***holes. It is pure sensation. It is just like British tabloids. I didn't even want to look to the program as I saw that it was with Lou (Holywood Banana). The other guy (Fidel Castro) they showed is a 100% racist, just like his brother. They are politicians for "het Vlaams blok". Ultra right, some with nazi-sympathies. He is against strangers, especially if they come from North- or Central-Africa. But he has no problems with Thai girls...

well just watched in pieces (was destracted most of the time) but the fun part was the castro fellow being called cheap charlie
 By the way the girls they showed wouldn't make much in patong I guess.

Since this topic has been moved it is dead! Guess that we are all Phuket -junkies.
This was not meant in fact to talk about Pattaya, but about the harm this report did to all Thailand-go-ers, and especially us going to phuket.

Why do we come to phuket? Only for the girls? Nooo!
We are blessed with MT and some girlie and none girliebars. We can get some young girls as company, but also a nice interaction among BM's. That has grown for many of us as important then the girls. Except maybe during x-mas season, there is always a nice athmosphere with some interaction between people. In Kata I have some restaurants/bar, where I talk to the owner, having a nice tap-beer, no girl on my knee and just am happy. A lot of warmth between people too! I never forget the older lady renting the chairs in Kata that saw me in March after the Tsunami, holding me in her arms and both crying that she escaped the disaster! This forum, has much more class compared to others in the same league! We like to have fun, but still respect the girls and the Thai people! Nothing to do with these old ugly bastards, who has no respect of the Thais. And that is the point! First Thailand is only associated for sex-tourism! We are! But most of us are different, understanding the problems of the bg's, having fun though ourselves and trying to be positive! I was even thinking taking my camera and do a kind of report how sex-tourism could be positive... But then it would take too much time to arrange this and for that I am selfish, I don't want to ruin my holliday!!!

Well , aren´t we ?
 Enjoying company of Tg´s , LB's and Bg's , get drunk , behave " alittle bad" etc. ? It has been said before but We use them and They use us ! Isn´t it all about how the reporters angels there work ? Same shit happends "every where" in Thai and we all think we have an excuse cos´we "understands" the bg´s , lb´s or what ever ! There is not only in Pattaya this shit happends , even if the trade is huge there , so it´s all over .. ive´only been 1 week in Phuket/Patong but i saw all kinds of guy there .. not only "the good guys" And before i go on my last trip to Germany to finance my "Thai Trip 2005 Part 2" next week : Hey TinTin , Why care about what other people think ??  : :  ps. It is not only about what people think about us. First, I went to Thailand almost for 13 years before I got into the scène!
Oops not really true, I did 2 girls, when I was out one evening alone before that!  But , reports like that do harm to the country! Some people I know do not go there, because Thailand is a filthy place, with all weird men, banging these young innocent Tg's!  Bangla road is ONE STREET in Phuket, with for the rest some isolated spots, here and there! If all you nice people only half looked like the people in the report, I would not make plans for a next trip....

tintin, i hink weall feel this way. i have had "moments" in LOS. you know those times when you think, life cant get any better, im really enjoying myself. and not one of those timesinvolved a girl. isitting in wonderul bar 2 on pattaya 2nd road, rading a book and drinling a heineken and watching everyone have fun throwing water in songran. sitting on a beach chair on lamai beach, reading print outs of the bostonglobe sunday sports, drinking a beer, getting a foot massage and watching theboston red sox on the tv on thebar on the beach seeig how generous thethai peoplewere and farangs he nigt of the tsunami, offering food and wate theres so many morei could say
