Best Digi Camera In Your Opinion
Know this might be a stupid question but I no F,,K all about
cameras , obviously 7 mill mega pixel is better then 5
and chargeable cameras are better them ones that take through away batteries
but does anyone have a recommendation on which is a good light weight
camera to take to LOS I don't want to spend over £350 really

OK in that range you have a good choice.
Will most of your photos be night or day?
Do you have a steady hand or do you shake a lot?
Do you envisage taking camera to pool/seaside/somewhere wet?
does size matter? The camera size, that is!
Are you a happy snapper or do you want to take arty-farty pics?
Do you want a zoom?

OK take a look at the Olympus mju 600 0r 800 camera - 600 is 6megapixels, 800 is 8 which is probably more than you need.
It has 3 x optical zoom and should set you back about £250, but you will want to spend a few quid on extra memory.
It has a feature called Brightg Capture technology for snapping in low light conditions.

Darbs,
I carry extra memory cards, with mine. I have a 1GB, that I use for "general purpose". A 512 MB, that I use for "private shots". (maybe stuff, that you can't show your bar pal's, or GF, or customs officers, 5555) And, an extra 512 MB...just as a back up.
Prior to this camera, I had the Stylus 500 series. I dropped it, and broke it!
I saved the battery, (same as is used in the 800)...and, now carry a spare battery, as well.
You can't be "overprepared"???? Right???

Personally I do like the slim sony's.. I would have a look at the T7.. Not the highest pixel count and not the brightest flash but very slim for always with you pocketability..

I like my Ixus!
I love my little Canon Ixus at 4 Giggle bits! Takes great pics that are plenty big enough for me to show full screen on my Laptop which is when all said and done the only place I really look at them.
It was on offer at Manchester airport a while ago because they were getting the 5 Giggle and I think a 7 Giggle thingie into the shop so the Manager put the 4 Giggle bit one on offer with a 1GB memory card, the leather case and a spare battery for just under 165GBP. I thought it was a good deal, the girl was fcuking gorgeous behind the counter as well, so I bought it, the camera, not the girl!
It's the size of 20 Benson and Hedges ciggies and I have often found myself reaching into my pocket and bringing out a camera and a lighter.....which is a pain in the ar5e when you really could do with a smoke!! Another drawback is that there are loads of this model camera around and you can easily pick up the wrong one from the bar at the MTB and have a giggle at just how tiny XXXXXX's penis really is!! On the downside they can see your pictures too I suppose!
95% of the pics I have posted on the Forum are from that camera, it looks like sh1t now, all scratched, dented and a bit sad but the pictures are still 100% crystal clear and sharp. A very good lens on all Canon cameras IMHO.
PS Good Flash on it too!! Picture not from my camera obviously! Nice legs!

Bought one last week , my other camera is a Minolta Dimage but it's too big to carry around the bars. Paid £166 for the camera , then had to pay for leather case and bigger memory card.

I have the Sony T7 and I think it is brilliant. 5.1 MP which will do for me, but the best thing is the size because you can bring it with you anywhere and it just fits in any pocket.
I have a Canon EOS300 (not digital) which I loved taking pictures with, but the size of the camera always made me leave it at home. I didnt want to run around with a big-ass camera all night.

Tripods
I've also got one of those springy-bendy-legged mini tripod thingies with three legs (Good eh?) that screws into the bottom of the camera allowing you to put it on the coffee table in your room, hit the 10 second timer and dash back onto the bed and your latest bird who is probably sparking up a ciggie by now! Stubbing your toe on the bedside table before screaming out in agony just as the camera's flash goes off!!
I just tell people thats my ***-face!! Well, not my Mum and Dad of course as that would be silly!! and I'm not sure they are interested in what thier little boy gets up to on his holidays!
Get a tripod, it's good exercise too!! Needs Viagra!!
