After much humming and haaring.. I did pick up a K850i cybershot phone..

Its not perfect, it does have some slightly annoying lag in the touchscreen buttons, and some of the low light shots have come out dim (tho I assume some of that is me not knowing how to use it to its best yet) but overall its a great media phone.. The media / picture interface is set up like the PSP and handles quite well.

The cam shots come out good enough for web posting, flash works ok at night (not as good as a digi) but you do have to watch out for backlighting which flares out a bit (small lens, will always have this kind of issue). Its not good enough to junk a camera if your a shutterbug but it is a really nice 'always with you' shooter..

I had to downrez these more than I like (60% at 640x480 for one !!).. There are bigger files and more shots on my flickr page.

They make great pocket cameras don't they? The camera in your phone used to be rubbish, but the Sony ones have changed the game and you get a nice big file that will even print at a decent size.

I have also been playing with my Bros Canon D40 set.. Hes even got a 400m lens for his surf pics and stuff.. But he has a small prime we took some superb shots at Loy Kratong, night shots, no flash, and still amazing.. I want one myself to be honest !!

Have been playing with pics all day.. My bro discovered that some favorite pics I thought had gone with a hard disc crash I actually sent on DVD to my mum.. So recovered !! I have one I will post in a min that I really like.

Also getting all my old Bali shots sorted out and uploaded..

I saw the Bali set on your Flickr account but looked empty, will have a look when you post them.

I'm quite impressed with Flickr, signed up last week but nothing on there yet.

I love flickr.. In fact until I started with flickr my digi pics kinda lived in CD limbo..

The pic was posted in this forum.. "Right Place.. right time".

I know what you mean about CD limbo, I've got thousands in the computer, but I think it's better than having loads of printed ones from your old 35mm.

I could never bring myself to throw the crap away so I would get around 4 decent shots from a film and 32 rubbish ones, at least with digital you can delete the bad stuff.
