Brilliant pictures... old and hard to decipher in many cases, but with captions !
Shorpy :: History in HD | Hi-Res Historical Photos It's all US based historical pics and it does give a little insight into what life was like then, but I was just wondering if there are similar sites promoted/available about life in other countries in the last century...

Don't know about websites but I have a few books showing pics of buildings and life in my home town going back as far as 1865.
