Does anyone remember Bush? (The band, not the President). One fabulous album with every track a winner, then they just faded into oblivion!
How about Sublime? If Bradley Noll hadn't have OD'd, I think they would have been one of the all-time great pop bands. They had great tunes too numerous to mention!! Their verson of "Summertime" was possibly the best ever, and probably should be on my Best 5 list, somewhere near the top!! I guess I'll have to do a second five!  I have been buying music since 1959 with money from my paper round  ,so 5 favourites is a big ask. But at a push I would pick these, then change my mind later 1 Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd 2 Clocks (A white label dance remix not on general release) - Coldplay 3 Jesus to a Child - George Michael. 4 Insomnia - Faithless 5 Woman - John Lennon I may even pick 5 more tomorrow
