Best Burger In Patong???
I was wandering around Patong last week and after a couple of weeks of Thai and seafood I just had a hankering for a decent burger...........not just that McDonalds crap which I won't eat but a bloody good char grilled cheeseburger with bacon and fat fries.........you know the one...........ended up with a pretty ordinary one at a place down at the beach next to Sabai on the beach
I noticed Faulty and Stevem mentioned Faulty Towers today on the Board as having a great burger.............so I was wondering which place is the BMs favourite for the real thing

Order the burger at faulty towers with all the extras, egg, cheese and bacon. Its a meal in itself and not a burger. I was going to order fries as well, but Gollum advised me not to.

BBQ hut being the mex place ??? If so makes good burgers and in general I rate thier food there, eat there at least once a week.
Superb hungry man breakfast, crab and potato burrito, shrimp fajitas, prawn burito, lots of good stuff on that menu at reasonable pricing.. Thier ribs are really great value..

Follow Rat U Thit Past christines until it links back up with the Beach Rd loop.. Its about 50m before the link up and left hand bend part..
While I am sure any guys who have eaten real mex would agree its nothing like a good tex mex or Cali cantina (perhaps this sounds mad but I had far better mex food in America than I did in mexico !!) but the mex is more than serviceable and most dishes are under 200 baht.. Even the big combo platters are usually about mid 200's and they are big meals.. Only thing that bugs me is guacamole and sour cream etc are 'extras' and expensive..
Thier Thai is also good (often a farang menu place serves crap Thai) so your GF can be happy while you eat farang if needs be..

I had a decent burger and fries at Rio on the corner of Rat and Bang. Of course the staff of TGs always makes the food go down easier. I usually eat with one or two of the staff

Where exactly is Fawlty Towers? Is it down Soi San Sabai?
Might try that burger out when the need for farang food arises next trip.

Champs and BBQ hut
Champs closed for good last March. It used to be on the Y of Soi Katsup.
The BBQ hut is on the south part of Ratutit Road next door to the Marine hotel.I can confirm it does great food.

Have to agree with you there. All of the farang food there is quite good. Add in the added bonus of the nice staff and it makes for a wonderful afternoon snack.
Cheers,
Ashley
