Yes, you are right. Drinking alcohol is very expensive in Scandinavia, and the most expensive country is Norway. If you see some people in LOS really drunk, then you can be sure they come from Norway, Sweden or Finland.

But SuperMao is still in a division for himself.

Nothing is better than the silk booze in the early afthernoon afther beach time when you just can sit down and watch and chat with people some hours before the hectic night life starts.

And the evening nap afther that is delicious.

None during the day unless I am there for the weekend only - But come to 9pm till 3 or 4 or whenever it is I am a recless alcoholic lah

Trust me - Just ask any of the BM's who I have meet. If you see me at 9 I am as sober as a judge but after that its Bafana time lah

I usually hit the beach in the day. Then about 5pm (when the sun is over the 'yardarm' ) I will hit one of the beach front bars with my book for a couple of beers and watch the talent passing by and the sun setting.

Then it is back to the Hotel for a quick shower and change whilst having another ice cold beer-ready for the sun down.

Then it is off to a nice restaurant for a couple of glasses of wine with my fish or whatever and an espresso and Gran Marnier or Bailey to finish rather than a dessert.

Then a stroll to one of the Irish Pubs for another couple of Beers or the cans of Cider (make a refreshing change) and watch the Band. Then feeling suitably 'refreshed' I am ready to 'bounce' up and down Bangla Road for the rest of the night.

Usually stop of at the Blue Note with a good upstairs view of Bangla road for another beer or two and to meet friends, then a quick hop into Captain Kirks and a round of drinks for the girls.

I then usually pop into Soi Eric for one or two in Mai Thai and or Flash.

Depending on the time I might have a quick foot massage.

Then off to Tiger and a round in the bars underneath. Might have 2 more then usually pop into Rio and Rockhard for a beer and maybe a B52 if the owner is in. Might then get a take away or

Then its usually hometime so maybe pop back to one of the bars from earlier or I might go for a Pizza and a few glasses of wine with some friends......

all in all that usually adds up to a hangover although I dont seem to get them these days since I started taking that Wakie Stuff- really seems to help me- that and plenty of water.

So an average night, but not too heavy- very rarely touch the Spirits

PS I do find that when I first land that I get drunk a lot quicker, but over two weeks I tend to build up a tolerance and can drink a lot and not get drunk and even feel sober- I guess your body gets used to it

reading this post actually made me drift off and imagine i was back in thailand...then i came out of it, and realised i was in london, and had work tomorrow morning! BOLLOX!!!!

At home you can say i dont drink any alcohol the whole year, maybe 2-3 times a year 1 or 2 beer. I dont need any alcohol to have a lot of fun but have no problem who drink if they still know how to behave. During my last holiday in LOS i only drunk beer every second day going out for nightlife but only once being a little bit pissed,but not to worse.Most of my time i drink coffee and my GF is happy me not drink to much. She just is afraid that i get a heard attack from the coffee. Se started now to drink a lot of coffee too, as she told me she wants to see how it is to drink so much. And know she likes it too.I also dont like girls who drink to much. In my opinion theres nothing worse than a drunken (bloody pissed) girl. But everybody as he likes, i dont judge people drinking till coma, but cant get close to them. But you cant be friend to everybody so its no problem

i had to meet with some guys in from toronto.
after the meeting we went to lunch and i could tell they were rearing to go
we started drinking at 130pm, got home at 12am!
i wanted to go home at 4pm but had to be a good host
needless to say ill be napping after work today

Have reached the point in life where I can drink or do something else but not both. Nothing wrong with an occasional night of getting sloshed in LOS taking in the sights, but usually prefer to have a go at something else and then go scuba diving the next day as well.

As a scandinavian I am used to see quiet a few of us really drunk at all times of the day and night durling vacations (in southern and sunny locations). Not for me. I want to be in control and drink accordingly.

When coming here on holiday, like Petter I used to like an afternoon few beers in Bangla watching the world pass by. Early evening nap and then out for the night, used to slip the odd water in between beers to keep at a nice level as I had business to attend later that night.

Have been telling myself for ages now that I must get back to this as now I forget the water and get more drunk than I want on quite a few occasions.

Blame Nicke most of the time for slipping them thar black deaths at me every night, love em, cant refuse!!!
