How drunk are you in los ?
Over the time that I have visited los, I have met all kinds of people, from people who are tee-total and drink no alcohol whatsoever, right through to individuals who drink for breakfast instead of food/all through the day & night and perhaps don't know what time of day it is.
 I remember on my last tour, I was viewing some travel cases at a shop in Chiang Mai and this guy who I think was scandanavian was comletely out of his face at 1pm, came up to me while I was discussing the price and was sluring his words and staggering around, seems to me some people only come to get hammered 24/7 which is not my idea of a holiday. I like a drink, but always in moderation, I rarely drink in the daytime, if I do then only 1 or 2, I mainly only drink at night, sometimes a good session or sometimes less, but always in control of myself (pretty much). I'm just curious as to the drinking habits of fellow boardies.

If l am in LOS for say 2 or more weeks....usually go hard first 2 nites.....then usually every second nite.
Don't usually drink during daylight hours, unless their is some special event on with other BM's

I always order a heinekin and a bottle of water at the same time so that I can keep going all night without getting too p*ssed as I don't like feeling shit the next day. Downside: I piss all night but I'm hydrated!
On one night on my trip in Feb I was getting quite p*ssed from Nickes constant flow of shooters so I thought I had better go & visit Geir at the Love bar for a break. I turned up just as he was passing shooters around, & then another one! So I left as the shooters were getting out of hand so I went to see Kevin at his Angel bar & he handed me a shooter as I arrived..bad timing all night!!! I was pretty p*ssed that night but had a great time.

Thanks to everyone for the replies so far, very entertaining.
Especially to Steve W for admitting he likes the ale so much. I have met plenty of #6's on my travels and wonder if any actually occupy this board. Like a guy from Finland who was always drinking, I went across to his room early mornings to find he was already crackin open a few bottles, his whole existance in los was centred around the drinking. I was sitting at a noodle bar one night with a old gf and her older sister (his gf) pulled up on her bike (her driving), I heard a smack sound and looked round to find him flat out on the floor,had just passed out there and then, (was only about 9pm) The older sister was embarrassed to have a bf like this and told me so a number of times. 'He no good, no same you, drink too mutt'

One thing about the scandinavian countries is drinking costs so much up there they do tend to hit it hard and really drink until comotose.. Seems a national trait (not that Scotts or Irish let the side down often)..

None in the day, start to drink 1-2 about 1930 and then dinner. After dinner can be a bit to much sometimes. I am nearly allways ha sip % sick in the morning (liver, stomach, bile) so I can easily stay without during the day. Starts feeling well in the afternoon.
Also helps if I telephone with the big white phone before sleeping. Last edited by Captain : 23-03-2006 at 22:12.

Never drink during daylight, I might have a glas of wine for lunch along with a good meal but most often I drink wine when i have dinner. if I go out I drink 4-8 Coronas and may throw in a couple of drinks but I never get too drunk... Not that I can remember doing so anyway 55555555

i have a few in the afternoon...then really hit it in the evening. i think the worst state i got in was last week at my hotel bar after bars had shut at 1pm. started chatting to a couple of guests and ended up drinkin margaritas til 5am! then catching a bargirl picking up her id at reception...told her to put it back and come to my room.
god i hate london.

i love my beers. wether it be LOS, Canada, US or zimbabwa
fortunately, i can handle my drinks. i would honestly say in a day on holiday, starting at 12-1pm, breaking for a nap and dinner, i am good for 20 beers. plus whatever shooters come along once in awhile i switch to vodka orange(wish it was grey goose and cranberry) but i drink those type of drinks way too fast! and that can be trouble there have been a few instances where ive felt real f**cked up in safari, when i go off to piss alone, and start to feel ti and i just go home, but that has only been 3-4 times the only thing i havent figured out is how not to feel like shit the next day

will occassionally have a few beers during the day if with friends and then can drink pretty hard at night.
but if I do drink during the day I usually get a little rest before a big night out.

I dont normally drink during the day in Los, Maybe just a couple while playing a few games of pool, Other than that, I just go for the evening sessions which is enough for me to be honest, Sometimes too much

I rarely start before 7pm or I'll just fall asleep.
Enjoy a good session most evenings in LOS but I know when to stop. Nothing worse than a pounding head in a hot country
