I just get the odd starch cravings.. Need taters every once in a while.. Pasta or bread can sub but really I miss spuds if I cant get some solids like that every week or so..
Rice is great an all.. but doesnt ease the craving.

When I was in Thai summer 06 i fell in love with Thai food and only ate that. Came back and started cooking Thai myself 3-5 times a week and lost 4 kilos very quickly.
Only Thai for me in LOS but home I will do a 50/50. I have discovered a thai food store in Oslo and it is nice go and shop there. They have great take away as well, genuine Thai food!

Most mornings in Patong i will have breakfast at No.6 Restaurant, a nice hot bowl of Gui Taew Noodles (spelling), lovely!! Lunch would be western and Thai food for dinner again.
Thai food is expensive in Kuala Lumpur.
Any BM who visited KL know where to get good cheap Thai Food?
Most Thai restaurants dont last long here also. Dont know why.
There is one Jim Thompson restaurant at Starhill

Is it easy to find Chinese food in Patong?
Laem Thong (Opposite Thawon Grand Plaza) seafood at Phuket Town is really good chinese food. Love the black chicken herbal soup!!

after spending 5 days there we went out with her aunt and bf to a thai only resort in a national park
it was a good 8-9 days before we ended up in hua hin without a stitch of farang food
no matter how much or how many times i ate, i was just starving
i headed right to the Italian place

went out to my local Thai place last night here (Wellington NZ) with a friend........we had 3 main dishes (Pad Thai, Tom Yum Gai + beef musaman)and she wanted bloody spring rolls of all things as a starter so I didn't partake in those.........
cost BHT1800 without the wine which was another BHT1300.........
Have had better food at No6 for about BHT200...........it really is ridiculously cheap to eat in LOS............
only saving was there is a new little TG who has just started working there........got talking to her when I was paying the bill......she is from Ubon Ratchathani.........and she's a real cutie.....this place needs more investigation..........55555

better!

Normally I like a Western-style breakfast, but this most recent trip I started taking a shine to Thai omelettes with spicy pork for breakfast.
Apart from brekky, it is Thai food for me all the way. But after about 2 weeks, a good burger or pizza is a nice change.
Thai food - the spicier the better.

How much Thai food do you eat when in Thailand
As much as possible. After my last trip I even had Thai food twice the first week "back" in UK.

I try not to eat too much Thai food back "home" even though I really like it. Just gives me another reason (if I needed another) to visit LOS.

We recently announced "Casual Friday" (jeans, etc allowed) in our company. I immediately countered that with an announcement that "Friday is Thai day". Several of us have Thai food every Friday.
I guess this was a little OT.

I like nothing better than sitting with my TGF in the Nana Restaurant with a huge bowl of Tom Yum Goong which offsets the corona consumed earlier a treat. However I am also rather partial to a nice lobster thermidor after a session in the gym. Ants are also a rare pleasure.
Many years ago when I had a family, I took the witch and kids to majorca for a holiday (what a treat) I made them drive 6 km every morning to magaluf just so I could have a full english, that's how to guarantee you don't go back somewhere you didn't want to go to in the first place, sorted.
When in Thailand I seem to stick to Thai food, especially that soup, after all anything with Yum in the name must be good, right ?

Love the Thai diet but I must have a crash and burn chili at least once a week, and a couple of English breakfasts.

Well during my last trip, it was 98% Thai food. Just on the occassion she would prepare some French Toast for me for breakfast. Must say she really knows how to cook that.

it all depends on where i am in thailand. if im in phuket i tend to eat more farang food and when im in koh samui i eat almost all thai food. i have no idea why this is. last trip i tried crispy pork thai style pet pet which is now my favourite.
and for those of you who like pork scrathings try the thai style ones from 7/11 or thai stall....bloody fantastic.
Apart from Tom Yam what is everyone else's favourite thai dish?

Actually, at home I never eat fish or seafood, but I loved my GF's Tom Yam Goong. Next to that it is Phad Thai Kai.

That's a new poll in itself.
Kao Tom or Bami in the morning
Nam prik (Goong, Plah or anything) + Kai Chio anytime
