How much Thai food do you eat when in Thailand
All the time. I avoid the places frequented by farangs it not spicy enough.
The food in the flight is a bit too ethnic. I can't wait to get to the Macdonalds on Kho San road.
I spend my whole time in British pubs. Where I can meet fellow Brits like Myself.
I like Thai food but I also like all the other international cuisine that are available.
I have a live in Thai girlfriend who does all the cooking.
I sustain myself on a diet of Beatles and cockroaches. It gets the sexual juices flowing.
I spend my time on walking street in Pattaya looking for the perfect Ladyboy
with a big Bratvurst.

Kind of stumped by this one but......
I love Thai cuisine and eat it mainly when in LOS and even at home here.
The only meal I eat that is not Thai is breakfast when I have to have a club sandwich.....they make them soo good there in Thailand. Perfect

This is something i will get well and truley flammed for here but i will add my 2 cents...
I dont like Thai food very much.... I dont like spicy food full stop... I dont like curry... i tried curry twice one from an Indian resturant and one from a Thai resturant in England... People i was out with said they were nice both times.... I was sick all night and only ate it because i felt that i had to..... I do like noodles tho... Noodles with the meat in... Like chicken or something... god it has been a while since i was there and cant remember what the meat was.... wanted to try them in a resturant and it wasnt spicy at all... I did enjoy that.... But asian food as a whole (apart from certain chinese foods) really isnt my thing i am afraid.... That is the only thing i dont like about Thailand.... Still its not for everyone.... I did try it and that was the main thing...
Dont flame me guys

This definately looks like a after- pub post. No doubt had a few beetles and cockroaches to get into the mood.
Then turned to the ladyboy with a big bratwurst
C'mon fishead,what is this?

Although the original post was very mixed... I personaly think that the thread could have some merit... As i already stated (flame at will ) i am not a lover of Thai food... But there are a lot of people that are.... It is something i was intrested to find out if i was the only one that didnt like it much.... In theory it could make for an intresting discussion...
Actually a person at work today came up to me as she ordered food and said do you want Thai..... She said it was weird that i said no because i only ever say good things about Thailand.....

Yeah, I wonder do many of the BM'ers stick to their usual diets when in LOS or, do they prefer to live alittle and test other dishes.
Just a thought

IMHO, i think alot of people go to thailand and eat thai and talk about how much they love it because they feel they have to
i like some, dont like others. the more im there, the more i find i like, but i eat what i feel like, farang, thai, doesnt matter

I agree Paul.....l like to mix it up....feel more comfortable ordering things if a tg is with me and knows what l like.
But then sometimes l just feel like a pizza or one of those chicken kebabs (found a better one in Pattaya actually....50 baht.....end of Soi 13)

thai daily
One of my great joys is to eat thai food daily in LOS, but i eat thai 3-4 times a week in the states anyway since i have an asian market close by that stocks most of the thai staples. My diet isn't that much different in LOS, it's just that i don't have to cook. I can go pet pet with the exception of one of the first things i ate in BKK on the streets @ 3AM - pot-pot? (sunflower greens i think). The absoulte hottest thing i ever tried.
However, i like to have to have one good steak a week in LOS just to change things up.

Jesus i thought i was ging to get flamed for my comment on Thai food..... I agree with yoou all tho eat whatever makes you happy.... Personally when i was in Patong there was a nice Italian place by the diamond cliff hotel... Part of the complex..... We got there quite late and to be honest we had been up since thursday morning (japan times) It was friday night and we just went there for some food and found me and my mate ate there every night.... Wasnt that expensive food was good and the service was top class..... I think that the service also added to the charm.... The girl knew what we were drinking before we even ordered..
