Expenses . . .
Hi all . . .
Jeeeees!, I must be a miserable prick! I have spent no more than 4,000bht per day, (including accommodation), on any of my tours to LOS! I don't feel I have gone without anything? I've been to Patong on 5 occasions now, and other parts of LOS, another 3 times. Each trip to Patong has been at least for two weeks at a time, and each time (including 26 March to 10 April this year) I arrived home with spare BHT! In fact, this last trip cost me less that 50,000Bht for the 14 days (incl. accomm.) I took a little over 10,000Bht home with me, from the 60,000 I budgeted. Cheers pdm3

Maybe the reason for the wide variance in BMs expenditure is that we all have different levels of satisfaction, where BGs are concerned? This probably has a big bearing on what we are prepared to spend on our 'company'. Yes, there are some truely beautiful BGs around, and it is this outward physical attraction that spurs most of us on! I have had some extremely attractive ladies in LOS, but not for the last two or three trips! I have found that the more attractive these BGs are, the more gullible overseas 'sponsors' they are likely to have, and accordingly, because of this additional monthly income, they have proved far less accommodating than perhaps the slighty plainer girl/lady, who has no other income. I, for one, have enjoyed the company of the latter, far more than the former. They are less demanding financially, happy perhaps to obtain their share of the rent on their room, and a little extra spending money. They are also less likely to have continuous cell-phone calls in the middle of the night, on 'YOUR' time! Also, I know that many on here wish to have the lady with them 24 hours a day, and I know this can prove very expensive, especially with the obligatory daytime shopping trip to Phuket Town . . .(Been there, done that). When it really gets down to it, the physical attraction to an especially attractive BG is what costs the BIG Bht! When you get them stripped down back in your room, and look down at the specific area you are lusting for, there is really bugger-all difference in either one. That is probably why my expenditure pales into insignificance when compared with some of you. cheers Pdm3

I agree with cybernator in that if you were'nt spending money on drink and girls,Los would be a lot cheaper but as it stands IMO 'theres nothing cheap about Thailand'....

Family Holidays
Of course I bring my chidren to LOS. So it is about 60K a week for accomoodation. But The accommodation is more expensive than I would stay in on my own. I found I was spending about 10K cash a day on this and that.
On my own I would expect to spend much less than this. Mac

I started out spending about 5000 per day (2000 beers/food + 1500 loom + 1500 LT) and was having a great time, but found that gradually it got more expensive every night, as I was having so much fun and would be a good time Charlie buying lady drinks, so that seemed to end up costing another 2 or 3000 baht per day.
Also, I tended to hook up with a bargirls that like to drink and we would go out every night hitting the bars and gogos, so with drinks for two, lady drinks for their friends at the bars you visit (they always seem to know someone), ping pong ball tips in the gogos, tips for the dancers, it starts to add up pretty fast. But, the value you get for the money spent is multiples of what you'd get back home, so well worth it. But if you were looking to have the most fun while saving $$$, I think if you can avoid paying for a full night of drinking for two, and maybe lady drinks for some nice girls at a place where you're a regular you can keep in under control. Or, just barfine the first hottie you see and head back to your room! A few times I didn't barfine some of the more premium girls (ie Dragon dancers) because of the high cost, but compared to what I spent on lady drinks at some places that were taking advantage of me somewhat (not that I cared too much as long as I was having fun), the little extra cost of the premium girls was nothing. Also, if you are with a girl for a week or more, they generally will be happy with a lower rate per day if you pay them in one lump sum at the end....they seem to be pretty happy getting a lump sum of 10 or 15k, if you paid them every day they would surely spend at least half of it if not all it seems. But then again, you end up taking them on quite a few shopping trips as well!!

for some reason she asked if i spend too much when i stay with her jokingly i said" yes, i spend too much money when im with you, and i spend too much when im not with you, and i spent too much money when i never met you" this was met with the waterworks! she didnt understand that i was saying I always spnd money(or blow money)

i am also incredibly generous with my gf's friends but i have known them for 2 1/2 years
also, i like to hang out with the boys so if im going to Love Bar or a disco, id much rather spend the 2000-3000 baht extra it costs me to bar fine her friends and pay for their drinks and it allows me to not have to entertain my gf and hang out with my friends i also like big groups. so id rather go to dinner with a couple friends and my gf and her firends than just me and my gf also, this is not much different than how I am at home. if I am seeing a girl or going out with her I always take care of her friends also
