Your Top5 Music Videos on YouTube and why
Was going to make it Top3 but there's so many I like
My Top5 Favourited Music Videos
1) Pink Floyd - Echoes set to 2001 Space Odyssey (part 3)
YouTube - Pink Floyd - Echoes set to 2001 Space Odyssey (part 3)
Clever idea whoever originally thought of doing this. From about halfway the music and movie are in perfect synch. Brings back memories of when I was very young and saw 2001 for the first time...last hour scared the sh!t out of me!!
2) Procol Harum - A Salty Dog - 1969
YouTube - Procol Harum - A Salty Dog - 1969
Showing my age again but one of the greatest songs from the 60's. Brilliant lyrics.
3) Perfect Day
YouTube - perfect day
Probably the greatest collection of stars on one superb song.
4) Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (Live)
YouTube - Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (Live)
My all time favourite track. Awesome guitar solo at the end...Gilmour is God...and I was there at Earls Court in '94. Best show ever.
5) Queen - Who Wants To Live Forever
YouTube - Queen - Who Wants To Live Forever
Get very emotional every time I hear this. I used to be a pallbearer and once had to carry alone a little white coffin with a 6month old baby girl inside into the church and place it on a trestle in front of the family After the service I had to carry it out down the aisle past them all with this playing...everyone in floods of tears, including me Worst of all it was a burial and I alone had to lower it into the small hole in the graveyard.

So many great songs and accompanying videos, its hard to select a Top5.
But I have , and included 2 Pink Floyd videos
1 Pink Floyd......... Comfortably Numb Live Pulse DVD version
This has to be the all time great performance by Floyd, with the 2nd guitar solo the most expressive piece of work I've heard. Absolutely outstanding
YouTube - Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb Live
2 David Gilmour....... On an Island. Live session at BBC2
Another great guitar playing lesson from David Gilmour and so great to see backing singers Graham Nash and David Crosby admiring the second solo onstage. 555555 Crosby hasn't a clue what to do with his hands and just pats his stomach to the music.
YouTube - on an island
3 Queen....... Who Wants to Live Forever?
This track was chosen by my dear old Mum for her own funeral. It cut me up when I was in the service listening to what is a really sad song anyway.
It mirrors the reason given by LOS in a lot of ways.
YouTube - Queen - Who Wants To Live Forever
4 Pink Floyd.............. High Hopes. Live session from AOL
A magic piece of slide solo following a beautifully expressive accoustic guitar.
This guy has so much talent.
YouTube - David Gilmour playing 'High Hopes'
U2 ....... Beautiful Day. Live in Tokyo
Plenty of outstanding stuff from U2, but this is the highlight for me. A never bettered track.
YouTube - U2 - Beautiful Day
Sorry there are so many PF/Gilmour tracks here, but its a measure of how good they were for me. Would blow almost every band away even now with their musicianship. If you have never seen them, check them out

Sorry there are so many PF/Gilmour tracks here, but its a measure of how good they were for me.
You a big Floyd fan too then Dawsey Seen them live twice at Earls Court on the Pulse tour and Bercy Stadium in Paris.
Presume you've seen The Australian Pink Floyd Show in Bournemouth then? Saw them there couple of years ago and in Portsmouth. They are awesome. Easily the best tribute around. They even got invited to play at Gilmours' birthday party. Check out their free downloads on their website The Australian Pink Floyd Show They absolutely nail Comfortably Numb. Damian on guitar doing the big ending solo is superb.
Someone has also posted their promo video on Youtube

Yes you could say I like them LOS Got all the albums on vinyl and gradually getting the CD versions. Only got to see them live once, way back in '67 just after "See Emily Play" was released. I would have loved to have seen them in their prime, circa 79 when The Wall was released.
Thanks for the link, I'll look at that this evening . I hadn't heard of this particular tribute band, although most big name groups have a tribute band playing their stuff around the circuits.
I'm pretty impressed with some of the younger guys efforts on YouTube to copy the solos of the originals too. Some very good stuff there.
