Which Anti-Virus do you use?

After reading Steves thread about Anti-virus, Im curious to know which anti-virus you run, free, paid for, and if you rate it.

I have put most of the well known ones in the poll,so hopefully yours is in there. I'll add to it if necessary.

Me? I use Norton Internet Security 2006 and have found it very good.

Same same for me Dawsey. I have it running since 2003 and take the annual update for just about € 29 or so per year. So far no worries whatsoever.

I dumped Norton after it repeatedly failed to stop and/or find viruses on my PC. It also slowed my PC down a lot.
I switched to AVG and have had no problems and it found and cleaned up viruses that Norton failed to spot.
The other one with the best reputation is Kaspersky.

I use NAV, but the corporate edition (SAV CE 10.2). It's more easy since the subscription will not expire every now and then

I found Norton to be a memory hog, intrusive and relatively expensive. I use a combination of AVG, Spybot, Adaware and Microsoft's own AV program (they bought it from someone else and it still works as designed). ZoneAlarm for a firewall and I have had well over 2 years virus free. All of the above falls well within my budget too - free!

PC Cilling for me. Norton AV2004 had compatibility issues with a Windows version which cost me a hard drive.

I use Nortons AV 2006 and have used Nortons AV for as long as I can remember, and have never had any problems. I use my router for firewalling.

McAfee Enterprise Edition,

I believe McAfee has the second highest market share, but well below Norton.

I've got F-Secure AntiVirus... pinched from work before I left It's very popular where I come from but it is a Finnish company after all. Has worked very well for me, I probably will have to switch when the version gets too old though (not virus defs, I get those, but the actual program). I also run ZoneAlarm for firewall protection.

I've used Nortons Internet Security for several years now with Windows XP and have never had a problem and never had a virus. I recently upgraded to the latest version and it works fine.

Never had a problem and I notice that it does pick up Trojans etc when I accidently click through to a porn site.
I like the fact that it updates itself and keeps creating "rules" (whatever they are) for new software etc.
For the annual cost of the update (tax deduction available) and the ease of use, it suits me just fine.
Steve

I use the free Avira AntiVir, works fine.
I tried AVG Free a couple of weeks time, but AntiVir should be better to catch vira, so now I'm back.

I ran Norton for three years and had several viruses.
The computer shop I use told me that every year they test computers with the leading anti viruses.Up till now they've been suggesting Norton but this year Kaspersky did the best job of blocking viruses so thats what they're suggesting.

Sales pitch??I don't know but it sounded good to me.

So Kaspersky it is. So far so good.

I use AVG 7.5. It updates daily. So far no big virus problems. Every 2 weeks I scan my whole PC.

I have a Mac, and no one bothers to make virus's for Macs. Just use the Apple security.
