But Gonzo Bar and U2 Annex I like also very much.

What I told in an another thread:
I prefer the Soi Gonzo and the favourite bar is the New World Bar because I know the owner a long time. But it is very noisy - every bar plays there own music – so you can not stay a long time inside.
To later hour I also look in various other Bars around Patong.

Blue lotus pub, good tunes, good location. perfect for people watching
Hawai Bar in Soi eric, and Byrans, (when it was bryans)
Two-nite bar under tiger.
Lucky bar in Soi Katoey (quiet bar, good place to chill when i need a quick break from the madness) - they also have dominoes. Havent found many bars with that game. makes a nice change from connect 4, jenga and dice

Every bar that I tried was good fun, but when it comes to sheltering from a thunderstorm on a hot afternoon, nothing could beat those cool smooth pints of draught Guinness in Scruffy Murphy's in Bangla Road - sheer nectar!

favourite bars mai thai,katoeys r us(cocktails and dreams),blue lotus.kangaroo,batchelore bar,las vegas and bar at end of far right in soi easy cant remember name but i no the guy there and it a good bar.also geespots bar was a good bar as well,had a few good nites there.

I like the Sydney Bar and scandinavion Bar on the same square at the left hand of Bangla Road, but I do not remember the name of this Soi.

Also mice bar runned by an Italian was quite good.

i think all bars along bangla are more for couples.thats where i see most couples.but as johny said all bars will welcome you and the girls wont give you grief if you with a wife/girlfriend

love bar - tiger & mai thai bar of course
Tonite Bar - Tiger - ask for mama noi
Bunny69 bar (next to love bar) - tiger - know the english part owner, he is a great wee guy!!!
Sailor bar - sea dragon
Bangla sexy 9 bar no 3 - seapearl - know the 3 lady owners, they are crazy
Bangla sexy 9 bar no 2 - sea dragon - same as above
watch these 2 bars they are expert at extracting large quanties of lady drinks but they are very good at bringing farang customers to my bar once they have been BF - so cant complain, also they will do anything in the bar for a lady drink and I mean anything!!!!!
Bar next to toilet in Tiger, drink there every night and still can never remember name!!!
Honey bar on Bangla - 'mem' boom buoy cashier friend of my GF, she is a very good friend, great company, a real star, she often bar fines herself and comes to work in my bar as we have such a good laugh
1st Bar on right of entrance to soi easy, again know owner and many BG's to talk to, but can never remember name
Up 2 U bar in soi eric, again know owner
Freedom bar soi eric
Know a lot of people in Euro bar - but Im not allowed to drink there anymore
Parrot Bar - soi katoey / crocodile

Best late night entertainment - Dragon Disco, without a doubt, really really good for pool and dancing and heaving with BG's without customer. Still cant work out how they manage to keep open so late 4-5am for disco, 5-6am for pool. When I was there 2 weeks ago the police raided the place but only shut down the disco but let the pool stay open

ps if you want to butterfly try soi seapearl, lots of BG's and out of sight of bangla and soi's. I only drank there in the daytime as too many people were reporting on me around bangla and that was just for being drunk fcuk

Don't actually have one on Phuket. Live too far away from Patong. . I used to drop by Moon Bar but the lassies have changed lately. There's a rather nice bar at Kamala Beach associated with a decent dinner house, that I sometimes drop by for a lager and a plate of seafood. Up Bangkok way, I'm known at Q Bar and The Office, Soi 33. Cheers.

Hello all,
well after reading all the posts for the last 5 days, yes it shows that i do not have a lot of work at the office, i am very anxious to come to phuket which will be in 12 days, i can't wait. it is my first time. i already got answers to a lot of my questions by reading your threads, i have a couple more if you guys can help me:
(1) I am going alone will it feel weird being alone in the bars ? is it often big groups that go patrying.
(2) All of you mentioned good girl bars, what about the ladyboy bars. which are the good ones ? are the rates the same as for girls, around 1,000 to 1,500 baht for the night ?

Cocktails & Dreams is an exellent bar. My favourite, unless I want to watch some UFC.
Haven`t been to the "Katoeys R us" in Soi Paradise, but I`ve heard they have great food and a good show.
The Kangaroo bars are also good. Yes, I like both...

No worries. I had a better time on my solo-tours than when I went with some friends on my first two tours.
(and I wasn`t aware that this board existed until after my last tour in nov-dec...)
Some travel in groups, but most people seem to travel in two`s or three`s. I`m willing to bet lots of drinks, that you`ll have a great time.
As far as I know, it`s the same prices for LB`s as for the BG`s.
