When you are in Thailand do you use the paper or water to clean your **** [or ass for USA BM's] I use the paper because that's what we use in Oz. I have told a Thai girl that in Australia ,the Uk and the USA we just use paper and she could'nt believe it. I have tried to use the water but just can't work it out without making a mess everywhere. It seems alot easier to wipe it and flush it

oh the glory that is the pipe!get used to it as it is far more hygenic and is great after a chilli experience

Would love to use the water agree its so much more hygienic, but like the op have just not mastered the technique, a couple of tries, soaked the room and me and you have to watch the angle of the thing if its got a powerful jet!!

Followed by a gentle "patting dry", with the paper.

Just make sure you dont have a long white T shirt hanging down at the back !!

I actually feel kinda unclean if I go anywhere that doesnt have bum guns.

For me paper as well.
I even have a bum gun at home too in the ground floor toilet, but after messing up this area a couple of times, my ex-wife condemmed me to stick with paper.

Try dampening the paper with the water and then wipe. Best of both worlds, but you have to be mindful of the possible breakthroughs...

i prefer paper... maybe because here it is the "default" way.

Always the bum gun. Lived too long out here and hate it when paper is the only available option - never really feel clean until it's had a good wash.

The problem with the gun is that you don't always know who used it before you. You may be proficient at it, but what about the 10's or 100's of others who used it before you since the last time it was sterilized. At home, I can see it as OK, but not in public places, or even hotel rooms.

And, yes I do wash my hands after, but the thought of touching that gun makes me feel uneasy to begin with.

for me it's paper...but i always have the wet toilet-paper with me that they sell here in CH...so it's kinda like TanMan said the best of both worlds...

if i use the bumgun i leave a mess...

Nacha, Lil is correct in his terminology.

Congrats for bein able to read it............So far you're the only one to mention it.

I'm working my way up, to International Space Station status.
A coupla more trips should see me there.

If I can barely hit my own bum a point blank range it's time give up. All I do is make a mess.

When washing your hands think of the fecal matter thats been left behind on the tap then scrub really hard.

I don't mind a girl washing my todger with it.
