How much does the average Board Member spend per day in LOS?

Excluding hotels as we have high and low rates but all other prices seem to stay the same.

Daily spend I was only here for two weeks so this can vary alot.

Food 600 - 1000 bht

Barfine 200

Lady Drinks 300-500

BG 1000 have paid more and less but on average.

General - Internet, cigs, water, condoms etc. 300 bht

Booze - 1500- 2000 bht

Total 4000 -5000 per day

I reckon I could get it down to maybe half if I was staying for a month or longer.

On my Songkran tour I was only in Thailand for 7 full days. The whole thing (including airfares etc) cost me just over £2,000 (150,000 baht).

Taking air fares and hotels out, I was doing in about 7,000 baht per day

It was one of the best tours of duty I have had and therefore dont give a shit

Had I gone to 'Ibeeeza' and spent £2,000 I would have probably cried because I know it wouldnt have been anywhere near as good as LOS.

Yeah I had a few 10,000 days and they were excellent if you want a really good time I'm calling this the figure but you can manage on five.
The first day I arrived I got talking to this girl in a bar in Bangla she wasn't much to look at but she had a great little figure she offered me free accomodation at her apartment and she had a motorbike probably wouldn't have had to pay either. To many good looking girls to settle down though but if you want to go cheap there's always options.

You gotta love LOS!

Red face

This is a tricky question....

On a normal LOS day I will drop 5000 baht.

If I get really hammered and don't get a bird I will drop 7000 baht - The day after which in complete indifference to God, Queen and country I will go the 10000 baht day to make up for lost time...

It's a lottery really - Mainly for the LBFM's and the Thai Tourist Industry

Average expenditure per diem

Average expenditure per diem in LOS is 4000 Baht for me. Varies depending mainly on how high I run the bar bill, and the price of the pussy I'm with that day, and whether she's better in bed when she's drunk, which a lot of them are, you know. I keep a loose count of how much I'm spending and make adjustments on food, girls, and bar bill if I know I'm going over budget. I don't mind a big bowl of "guay teeowl nam moo" for 25 or 30 Baht, drinking "nam plao" for nothing, at a funky sidewalk cart with little tables and plastic chairs occasionally to keep the numbers in line. I've actually grown quite fond of the stuff. I've never gone there for less than a one month tour, so it makes sense to be sensible. Also, I hear people talking about not being a cheap charlie on the one hand, but then claiming to average paying 1000 Baht fee to BGs. If you average 1000 Bht, then for every one you gave 1500 to , that would mean another got only 500. Unless that's true, it doesn't add up. Something's fishy?

A bloody good time was had, no BG hangups either which was good.

For my next trip i have a budget of max 3000 baht a day. (flight excluded)
I stay long time and i think its no problem with this budget, i like eating in the streets and not go to expensive restaurant.
But in Patong its hard with 3000 baht a day. But if you're outside Phuket and BKK its not a problem anymore.

During my 2 trips i had a budget from 2000 baht (but hotel and flight excluded)

The major problem during my trips was always the same. I spent to much ladydrinks in the bars. Sometimes for the whole staff

When I go I never know how much I spend exactly at the time being. I know how much I take from the atm and try to spend some days with that amount. Now in my case it`s different to most of you guys as I`m married and have two kids. Mostly it`s 5 people when we stay in LOS. Me my wife and the kids and our babysitter. So at the end with the airfares, food, drinks, hotel and the babysitter I spent something like 400.000 bath for 3 weeks. Not to crazy I think.

I paid 1500 once but she worked at Rock Hard and wanted 3000 so I just waited till later as it was low season. Then I only paid 1000 so on average I'm saying 1000 not 500 one day and 1500 the next. You could probably get the calculater out but I'm not that bothered I'll pay 1500 LT but she has to be fcuking hot!

i spend too much

without even having to give the girl i stayed with any money at all, i still managed to spend way too much on drinks, food. i found if you tell you bg that her friends are asking for too many drinks she will tell them to back off. i actually flipped out on her ugly friend who is always asking for drinks and money the last night i was there and all the other girls at the bar made her go home because i was mad, so i guess if you put your foot down, then they will listen. i also have a little bit of a temper and i noticed if i get a little mad, like every new yorker does, the bg gets very nervous, even if its not directed to her.

Spending best not to count

I reckon best part of 10,000Bht per day, but if you are having a good time who cares? it normally goes something like 500 bht for the C&N a day i get a little discount normal price 600bht low season then 2-3000 on bg;s plus there fines a bit on food a lot on beer and tips, and god only knows where the rest goes!

Thais look upon showing anger is a sign of a weak man and yes they would be scared but not impressed. Keep your emotions in check this is seen as being a strong man etc...

appreciate the advice

Geespot,
appreciate the advice. definitely not trying to impress anyone. living in New York, sometimes things get the best of you. but i definitely like to keep my emotions in check, only looking to have a good time. but, like i said, once i spoke up, which i probably couldve done in a calmer fashion, i felt like i wasnt being bamboozled by her ugly friend

Understood.

River,
Understood. Sorry to be such a stickler. I think this reflects the fact that except for the BG who was my regular, I had difficulty getting others to go LT for less than 1500. But I always hit on the best-looking ones. On the other hand, where I got the nerve to question whether someone could get a girl for 500, I don't know. Since, in fact, I butterflied mornings(the regular was an early riser) with a BG I only payed 500. The first time I gave her a 1000, and when she whined, 200 more. But then she started calling me in the mornings from the lobby of the hotel. When she came up, I told her sorry, but you're second string. 500 Baht plus lunch and cab fare or take a hike. I don't need you. She was OK with that. Guess she liked the steady income. Like working a second job for her. For me, too, when I think about it. Between the two of them, they were wearing me out.
I also failed to consider that some guys get it for free.

Good work on the day time play!
You need this in Patong I used to just let my BG catch her 15hrs in my room after a morning session of course then I'd hook up with another at the pool for the day then go for some ST action then back to the hotel at about 4pm which is about right for Bg No 1 to be rising.
A good tip from Nicke was to collect phone numbers but this could work both ways and you may be getting unexpected phone calls in the middle of the night.
I never payed my ST BG as I've known her for along time she even used to buy my lunch bless her.

Hi Marc

As a Scot we are well known for our short temper, afraid I have learnt the hard way, I have lost it quite a few times in the past. My close Thai friends have enlightened me in terms of this not being the done thing. Now things are different in terms of my behaviour, at least outwordly i.e.

Geepsot, never a truer word spoken.

Its amazing just sitting back and watching what happens when a farang looses it, and it does happen quite frequently. Have only had to step in twice in 5 years, the girls tend to take care of it most of the times.

About 8 years ago in Chaweng, I saw a group of 4 English guys take on a group of 4 Thai guys, over some pretty stupid little thing. I dont need to tell you the outcome of this.

At times its best to just walk away. It can also sometimes be difficult to tell when/if a Thai is joking or serious.
