cooking

Do you guys cook at home????

If I'm having friends over I'll normaly cook Thai, Italian (fresh handmade pasta) or BBQ with salads in the summer.....although I'll stretch to Indian or even a roast lamb/pork/beef etc

For a meal by myself it might be a home made burger, quick thai noodle or curry dish or packet spaghetti with a homer made sauce...

I probably eat out about 50% of the time

how about you guys

Yep. I class myself as a fairly proficient cook, and rate myself better than "her indoors".
Indian curries a speciality, along with roast dinners. My favourite food.

always.........(done a bit of schooling back in the day)

love cooking......although my girl has been taking over lately,we've both got our certain dishes.
im slowly perfecting a small majority of thai dishes......tonight was laab moo,not bad if i do say so maself...she scoffed it down ..so it must be a start,or unless she is well hungry555555.

a small group of my mates like cooking so its almost trying to beat each other...like' come round for a roast'...basically wants to show off a new recipe'''but it keeps the standards up.

I cook loads at home, it's almost therapy to me.

I do the whole roast dinner thing most sundays, we had 3 meats (lamb, pork and chicken) this week and I love crispy roast spuds. Also a big fan of veg in cheese sauce, scrummy.

I've pretty much given up cooking Thai because the missus is a blindingly good cook. She makes the most sensational Tom Kha Gai ever so if Thai food is on the menu I am watching the telly

I often make soups as well, nothing better with some warm bread. We had a spicy red pepper one yesterday and cauliflower with cheese today. Broccoli and stilton is a big favourite too, I learned a few years ago that I could trick the boy into eating vegetables if I turned 'em into soup.

If we are having people over, or I just want some 'spicy' that I can cope with, I will do a beef madras. I loves me Indian and she is a bit of a convert now as well.

If there is one thing that I wish I could cook it would be bread, I can't imagine life without nice fresh bread.

Italian is usually the easiest. Its that or a beef or chix roast. Sometimes some japanese food as well. I just attempted a shepards pie the other day and twas good if I say so myself.

looks like a nice kitchen/dining area SP....could really roll the sleeves up and get into it in there

I'm a fastidious bastard so my kitchen is always spotlessly clean.... I always clean as I go so I can sit down and enjoy the meal with my friends....

Having spent the majority of my "professional" life traveling ( hotels, dining out etc), I very much enjoy cooking and eating at home.

Being single, and having no friends , I usually wind up cooking only for one. I have mastered the art of food preservation though...and, can eat "leftovers' for a couple of days after. 55555

Been cooking mainly Thai dishes recently. And have had received positive accolades from my guests (not friends).

Note to Klav: Quit sucking up to Dawsey...you already irked him in the "party pics" thread, and he won't forget! 555555

Mix of heat-n-eat and proper meals. Too much of a hassle to make a mess for 1 every night of the week. As the saying goes 'Nigel no friends'.
