What do you do in the day time?

I would guess that the majority of people who read this forum have the nightlife of Phuket as their main reason for going there. It's loud, it's raunchy and it's utterly unforgettable. The nightlife scene of Patong Beach is an eclectic mix of restaurants, beer bars, a-go-gos, pubs, discos, transvestite cabarets and more. That is to me the beuty of Bangla Rd.
But what do you do in the day time? Do you head to the beach and soak up the sun on a deck chair? Are you the sporty type, who gets involved in scuba diving, sailing, golf, etc and if you do make it to the beach end up playing beach football? May be you are the type who likes to fill his days with excursions, day trips to Phi-phi, elephant trekking, or any of the excursions on offer? Or do you fall out of bed and into the nearest bar - your trip to Phuket is an alcohol induced haze? Maybe you don't even get out of bed until Bangla gets lively.

Me, I am in the first category.

I'm not so sure I have a "typical" day in Phuket, but a lot ot fimes it ended up like this: up early for a walk on the beach, breakfast, relax, read a book, lunch and a few beers, a massage, a few beers on the way home, take a nap, dinner, then? The nightlife didn't seem to start till about 10PM, so what to do between diner and then? More sleep?

during the day time i usaly wake up at 11:00
eat an american breakfast and go for a walk in the midday sun, my g.f. says to me : you crazy boy!!!!! to hot, to hot !!!!
i come back about 15:00 hours[ the time most girls wake up]
and sit by the pool talking with her
eat again around 17:00 hours cuz g.f. tells me too
but no heineken untill the sun sets, usaly drink water during the daytime
then go to the bar about 20:00

I know it's sounds strange but there are some people who ... work. That's what am I'm doing in my daytime mostly.

There should be an "Sit in bar Rio, chatting up the girls watching the newbies deal with Patong" option! Because that what i do while getting drunk of course!

Mmmm....... I think im gonna need a round of Golf or two next time!

Monday, Wednesday and Friday: golf. Other days the beach. Especially no golf on weekends as there are to many Thais: flights of 5 and playing for money results in (very) slow play. If I see a busload of Koreans on the course, then it is also time to change course.

Usually i go to the beach. (Laem Sing or Kata most. Patong to crowded IMO).
Sometimes i just like to make a long ride with the motobike and a nice tg around the island. Stop at a temple, shopping in Phuket town and at sunset at Laem Phom Thep or so....
If the drinking was too much for me than sleep and later in the afternoon go to get a massage....
Sometimes in the late afternoon go to a sauna like Nerng Thong or the other in Soi Nanai (forget the name).
Or just go out early and sit in a bar watch the people going bye.....
Ahhh, that would be good now in patong.......

Since Ive moved to nanai road things have changed

Its like a whole different community up here, people just doing normal everyday things and nothing too much touristy

I usual get a rousing welcome from the locals at the pool bar at my apartment for getting up in day light hours

I couldnt tell u the last time I saw the beach but I bneed to get my act together and join Nicke at the gym everyday

Im going to do the tourist thing for the next month as my family arrive tomorrow, so I will no doubt see sights I dont know exist
