The big day. Couldn't sleep.
I have known my Thai g/f for about 18 months now.
Before Christmas I decided it was time to make the big decision.
After speaking to her and organising my next trip I went ahead with the process.
Firstly there were the documents to be filled out and signed.
Next, I paid a deposit to the agent to get the ball rolling.
I decided I would think about the whole thing over the Christmas period and also seek advice from my family.
Finally I thought "Bugger it", you only live once and, if I have made a mistake, I can just write it off to another dumb decision on my part.
Finally the big day arrived.
I rocked up with my agent plus the balance of what I owed him to meet the love of my life.
And....there she was............
All black and chrome, instruments gleaming, twin exhausts.
My first bike in 35 years.
And my girlfriend? Well I'll see her in February.

Nice bit of engineering...
Take care.. These roads can be hellish for sand on corners, bad surfaces, dogs running out..

This thread got me to thinking. Is there many or any harley's in thailand? Can you rent them and do you need a m/c license or just a regular one do?
Nice bike. Keep your right hand down.

Nice bike Paul.
Take care you don't pull away too quick or you could find you have no teeth left on your sprocket.

Finally a photo of the love of my life
The first one was just a young undersexed thing, but, she was the first.
This is what keeps me smiling of a night now.

They can be rented everwhere but ya better know how to ride and get insurance. Saw this guy take a big bike and didn't know how to ride. Guy plowed into a line of other bikes. Needless to say pretty sure he pais out of his **** for that one.
Lookes fun. Just haven't found the nerve yet to venture out in one.
I stay with the baht buses and the lovely smelling fumes.
