Take it for what its worth...but a owner/manager of one of the popular go-gos in Pattaya did a survey with his girls and the age factor was one of the questions (the person asking the Qs was a Thai and no propespective customer was there with the girls so they were in the position to just say what they really thought, not just something to please a guy their sitting with)...Anyways! The results broke down as this (I know this is working girls so the responses could be different for non working):
if the money was the same what age do you want a customer to be?? 17_22 =0% 23_28 = 18% 29_ 35 =12% 36_ 40 =10% 41 _45 = 20% 46_50 =13% over 50 =9% Or combined 17-28 = 18% 29-40 = 22% 41-50 = 33% 50+ = 9% The missing percentage was girls who didnt answer/get asked apparently. Some people thought it odd that the girls preffered (on the whole) the older guys due to the reaction the young guys can get in the bars...but thats what the girls said!

A friend of mine in his 50's just got engaged to a stunning, smart, classy appearance, non BG in her early 20's.. No one in her family or socially would see that as wierd or unusual here. Of course theres pensioners with rent-a-GF's but it doesnt take long to see those clearly (and good luck to them, as long as they both are happy) but even in real relationships thailand values social position very very highly and for a woman to be able to radically jump her social position (something not easy here.. The poor stay poor) for her and her future family its considered a normal part of the attraction.
