Will you get called "Daddy" one more time?
You found your girl, you are happy together and now, since SHE is still young, she wants to have your baby.
So since you have grandchildren old enough to be calling you on their own cellphones, how do you feel about going down the 2am feeding route one more time?
Anybody here the oldest Dad at the "Little League"?

i like the question minder and one that many maybe have to contemplate.
my wife and i have talked about having children and have agreed its about 4-5 years in the future before it happens.
her sister waited until she was 32 to have her first and so far only child and that seems the age that the wife wants to start to have a child.
the big difference most probably for my wife is she will not be surrounded by the extended family like her sister was and all the support that offers.
maybe will have to get a "cousin/aunt" to come to oz to help around the house, the logistics of such a move have not been fully researched yet.

Heh Minder I'm the oldest dad in the little league, going down the 2am feeding route, absolutely brilliant..........................I think????..................as I'm never in at 2am, have to guess that really, but I'm sure its good to be feeding at 2am, based on the fact I quite like a chicken on a stick on my way home at night!!!

I can vouch he is never in by 2am and it's usually me feeding him the chicken on a stick while he does the steering! (That sounds a bit kinky but it's not)

Petter, I posted this as I am interested in hearing the experiences of BMs who DO have a younger wife and find (or have found) themselves facing fatherhood once again, perhaps long after their first child was born to a previous marriage.....
sorry to have confused you so much....I sometimes forget this is an international forum and English is not everyone's first language. Enjoy.

No problem Les, I have a 'special' nanny thong I like to whip out now and again.
Dodger has seen it, that's why he goes out alot.
I'm at the other end of the scale, I'm 46 with a 27 year old Daughter, which is great when I'm skint as she can take me out for a few scoops!

14 month old
Well I have to admit I have had the easy road. I am nearly 35, my thai wife is 26, and we have a daughter 14 months old who lives in udon with my wifes parents. Whilst my daughter is coming back to Melbourne to live with me and the wife it strikes me as interesting but also saddening that my little girl has only lived with me and my wife for 4 months of her life. This doesnt seem odd to my thai wife who would be happy for my daughter to live with her parents forever as she lives abroad (with me) and her brother drowned a few years ago leaving her parents craving someone else to take care of them. I have stood my ground however and my little girl is coming home. It will mean some early morning wake ups though and it will take some getting used to but I am looking forward to it. Best of luck to all the other dads out there, its not meant to be easy but i rekon its got to be worth it!

ha.......I'm 56 with a 28 y/o daughter and I still have to pay for her airfare from Sydney to Brisbane cos, as she puts it, "I'm coming up to see you daddy"..........but then she spends all her time with my 17 and 15 y/o's (daughter & son) so I still dont really get to see her.
typical bloody women..........5555555
as for the 'nanny' thong thing - does this mean you're able to charge more.........!!!!!!!!!

Good question. At first, I was already a bit reluctant as I already have a 30 year young daughter and my GF is almost 33. But after some talking with both of them, I don't mind and regret it at all.
About children? We don't know yet as we both have daughters from previous marriages. We'll see, what the time brings.
