Talking Too good to miss ??

I know most of you will immediately say that there is no chance of it happening, but in my opinion the odds are just too high !!

What I am talking about ??

Wigan at 16/1 who are playing away to Chelsea on Saturday 10th Dec. and Everton at 12/1 who are playing away to Manchester United on Sunday 11th Dec.

You won't get these odds from all the bookmakers, in fact you will only get them if you hold an account (or open one) with TotalBet - no I am not a shareholder or agent getting commission !! 55555

It's just that if you stick £10 on this "unlikely double" and they do both actually win, then you will get £2,210 back from the bookie !! So, for a tenner I'm gambling on these winning and paying for my next trip to LOS, flights, hotel, spending money, the lot !!

So what chance do they have ?? I Everton have won their last 5 games and face a Man Yoo team that will be down in the dumps after not making it through to any more Eurpoean action this season. Neville G (what a total waste of space that cnut is !!) has already given an indication as to the mood in the Man Yoo camp, by coming out and saying that "we will catch Chelsea" - yeah right, been in a coma 2 years and just woken up numbnuts ?? So, there is a realistic chance with Everton.

As for Wigan, yes I admit it's very unlikely but ask yourself this "do you think Chelsea will go all 19 games at home this season and win them all ?? If not, can you see them not getting beaten, or maybe losing just one game ??" and that's why I think this is an outstanding opportunity. Chelsea will be at full strength for games against Arsenal, Man Yoo etc and I know they were undefeated at home last season, but if they do get beat and yes, it's a massive "if" then why not Wigan ?? Wigan, the team everybody wrote off before a game had been played this season, but who currently have 25 points from 14 games are 7th in the table. Wigan who have won 4 of their 6 away games so far this season !!

For me, it's worth a tenner and that's all I lose if neither Wigan or Everton wins, but if they do....

how much do those odds go up to if you bet on a 2-0 win for each of your teams.

Since I placed my bet and posted this, Everton have dropped to 10/1, but Wigan are still 16/1 and that gives a double of 186/1.

As for both teams winning 2-0, Wigan are 80/1 and Everton are 50/1, with the double paying 4130/1. However, I think a more realistic bet if you wish to combine 2 scores, would be to go for a winning margin of just 1 goal and therefore either 1-0 or 2-1. For those scores the odds are...

Wigan 1-0 @ 25/1
Wigan 2-1 @ 66/1
Everton 1-0 @ 14/1
Everton 2-1 @ 33/1

Which in turn gives doubles of...

Wigan 1-0 + Everton 1-0 @ 416/1
Wigan 1-0 + Everton 2-1 @ 883/1
Wigan 2-1 + Everton 1-0 @ 1004/1
Wigan 2-1 + Everton 2-1 @ 2277/1

The quotes above are also from TotalBet.

The best prices currently are...
Wigan 1-0 @ 25/1 available in places, generally 18-22/1
Wigan 2-1 @ 66/1 available in places, generally 40-50/1
Everton 1-0 @ 22/1 with Paddy Power, generally 14-18/1
Everton 2-1 @ 40/1 in a couple of places, generally 25-33/1

True enough, but "football's a funny old game Saint" said one of our greatest goalscorers, Jimmy Greaves.

To be honest I very much doubt it will happen, but I would hate to miss out if it did !! The "steal of the weekend" for me, is Arsenal to win away at Newcastle and it's "even money" with Paddy Power Newcastle have only scored once in their last 5 home league games against Arsenal, drawing 2 and losing 3.

Ave it !!

IMHO gambling on horses and footie etc. is about getting value in the odds. There is no such thing a dead cert in either gee gees or football. In this case the odds on a two horse race (same division???) are really good so it is worth a punt. £10 won't buy you 4 drinks here anymore, the payout will be you mega happiness in LOS.

At half time I was starting to get excited as it was still 0-0, but the dream was shattered when Chelsea scored the only goal of the game after 67 minutes

i didnt see it. like i said 50 to win 7500 is fine by me.

my 2 team parlay lost, liverppol won, but arsenal lost. looked like arsenal was in new castles end all game but couldnt score.

diz, im not asking for any picks, but everyone once in awhile, shoot me a pic you like. they show all the big matches on tv here in canada and by betting those games today, i liked watching it. kinda reminded me of hockey a little bit, with all the missed chances. i woke up at 545am, not just to watch it, thats when my eyes opened, so i watched liverpool
