Is anyone else here an Olympic Junkie?
I love it. Spend hours watching. I can't wait.

I just found out the Winter Olympics commence Feb 10...and it's in Torino Italy....it's not huge in Oz bcoz a lot of us here do not understand snow.
It's a bit of a rich mans pastime over here......having said l will watch different events if l get the time.....but l won't be glued to it.

I used to watch when I lived in Sweden but there is no TV coverage in Thailand...
But I suppose we beat Canada in ice hockey as usual

Didn't Oz take a gold in the skating last time? I think everyone else fell over and our guy was far enough behind that he missed the tangle ....

That's right Steven Bradbury....what a joke that was....he was going to finish about half a lap last and he won gold........how embarassed was he
He got a lot of media coverage after that...u know talk shows and that....they all used to take the p1ss out of him....but he took it well and just laughed along....spose he was thinking of all the $$$ he was racking in....good lucks worth a fortune.

I will bett on the Finns this Olympic Games hockey with US as an outsider.
And yes in Norway the Olympic is big,24 hours a day and you cant escape.
Also the most importent is to take more medals then the Swedish, and they
probably do....
Country Gold-Silver-Bronsje last time in Salt Lake 02
Germany 12G-16S-8B total36
United States 10G-13S-11B total 34
Norway 13G-5S-7B total25
Canada 7G-3S-7B total 17

Unfortunately the rules of Olympic hockey only allow us to enter one team that way other countries have a chance for second and third.

I'm a big fan of the Olymics and although I don't follow NHL hockey closely(strange for a Canadian)I do enjoy watching Olympic hockey.Best of luck to all the teams,we'll see you at the medal ceremony.
