Sorry I woke up for these matches!!!! I am officially ignoring the 6 Nations for the rest of the year......55555

more penalties (no tries) in Ireland....although conditions were appalling

England were worse than I could ever have imagined

Wales couldn't even beat Italy despite having ample chances

Sorry boys it's a diet of Super 14 only for me from now on until the Heinekin Cup Finals.............I need the sleep and work time!!!!

Some majestic running rugby from my boys this weekend..........Waratah's played brilliant open rugby and scored 50 points...........Hurricanes (Wellington) snavelled a last minute win in SA with a rollicking run from Hosea Gear down his wing beating 4 tacklers

I wish I'd seen the Super 14 myself instead of the 6 Nations diet

I reckon it's start again time for England. The pack, which so comprehensively shoved Australia back down South, have been abysmal in the whole tournament; they even got second prize against Italy. I reckon that the pressure will be on Robinson by Monday, and rightly so.

There is no platform for the backs. Watching the Scotland game it looked like the rushed defence was keeping England on the back foot, Scotland were just seemed more aggressive around the breakdown. I think now having seen the game today that the tight five have gone backwards, no idea why though.

Martin Corry is not the leader that England need, Dallaglio undermines him completetly. The front row can't win an argument at the moment and they are getting shoved all over the park in the scrum. The backs are living off scraps and it's horrible to watch.

Well done to France and Ireland. Strange to get 3 away wins the same day.

Scotland played well, but just squeezed home with a penalty 3mins from the end..Bad luck on Italy as I was hoping they would win a match, they are the most improved team.

Wales dominated the 1st half, but France were just too good.Overall Wales best display.

England can feel a little unlucky, winning with 3mins to go,Ireland score a nice try.Pity they were gifted one by a poor decision earlier. A new look England didn't get their act together until the 2nd half and outplayed Ireland.

Over all,Ireland and Scotland will be happy with the progress they have made this championship. England, after a promising autumn and a good win v Wales will feel the two awful performances against Scotland and France undid them.
I'm thinking the centre partnership still isn't right, maybe time for Matthew Tait to be given another chance with Noon. Also,Ben Cohen is a shadow of the player he once was. Tom Varndell should have his place.

Wales have been unlucky with injuries, but until today, have been pretty poor.
Next season will tell whether they are on the right track.

Roll on the World Cup

Hey! It's alright being a smarty-pants after the event. If I was predicting them now I would be spot on, same as you. At least I stuck my head above the parapet first and had a go!

Dawsey nailed it there for me, fair play to the French who probably earned it on balance, and Ireland who deserved something this time. So, so unlucky for Italy.

I don't know where England go from here, but I was that confident in them today I did not watch the game. England have gone a long way since the world cup but, unfortunately for us, it's been in the wrong direction.

yes england have been going backwards since world cup same as wallibes.
france deserved the win and have been an improving team for quite awhile,
just hope they can improve more its good for rugby.

Well boys congratulations to both Ireland and France..........they both hung on and came back at the end of the match where it matters to win!!!

I was really hoping that Wales (who played as well as they had in any games of the tournament) could keep the French out ........just that little bit of michelak magic that outdid them at the end....so well palyed to them

England made a much beter showing of it this match and there were some good signs for them to take away..........they need to be brave with some new selections......agree with Dawsey about the centre pairing.......and I do still have my doubts about Goode at 10............not to mention Correy's captaincy..........I'd get big Larry D out there again as captain and get a bit of passion back into them.........he can inspire and lead........Correy is just a reasonably good player

Yes faulty.........I will cop a bit of egg on the face for my predictions but I never expected England to self destruct before the tournament and particularly after that great first up win against Wales.

As for Ireland......well thay played about to form.........not great at all......they just the boring staus quo safe game that they always play............whilst all else around them self destructed........

France unpredictable as usual.............and played some good and some crap rugby.........still unconvinced that they could beat any of the Tri-nations teams at present............possibly about half of the Super 14 teams would give them a good shaking too!!............is this too controversial from a "Southern Man"?????...........55555

Scotland improved incredibly and showed some good signs for the future..........let's face it they are never gonna be world cup winners but can easily upset a potential winner or 2 along the way!!!

Italy improved markedly in defence particulary and probably share my most improved award with Scotland......

A couple of our newspapers have started calling for Robinson's head. I'm not sure they will get it, but it is hard to argue with.

For me, the centre pairing was always too conservative and Ben Cohen's best games in an England shirt are behind him.

Danny Grewcock should never play international rugby again and we need to find a ****** who can throw straight.

Dallaglio, IMHO, should be banished from the setup completely and Corry should not be captain. Your captain has to play and I'm not convinced that Corry is the best 8 in England.

A poor, poor tournament for England. The world cup is looming and I am not so excited about it now.

Caught a few of the games Big T
Even the NZ 7s coach thought Matthew Tait was something special.
Lets hope for Englands sake,Robinson gets to see his performances. Top try scorer too.

Gordon Tietjens the NZ 7's coach is a wonderful spotter and developer of talent..........particularly backline talent

He has been feeding the AB's for years with some brilliant playmakers and runners.....so if he says Tait is good............believe him..............

I think the lad has some merit too if that counts

I agree with all of the above except for your Dallaglio quote Steve......I think he is still the only one in the whole England camp with passion..........just watching him prowling the sidelines on Saturday made me realise that this is a man who would lay down his life for his country.......as he has done many a time in the past.........

I reckon give it to him for one last blast and just watch the intensity lift and the boys rally behind him....he would do you proud

I'm excited about the RWC Steve ..........and I think you will see a stronger Wallabies emerge after this international representative season........and possibly a slightly off the boil AB's after losing Tana Umanga....another passionate leader......SA won't be too shabby either....they have developed some wonderfull running talent to go with their always strong pack..........Victor Matfield is the best lineout player in the world at present

He had one England cap last season Nelsonone, and the coach subbed him in the second half and never picked him again. Tait took the blame for yet another poor performance

I bet you guys down under have been loving this tournament, seeing what the opposition are doing
Coach Robinson today said that a few of the senior players will be left out of the Australian tour this summer to try out some new faces ahead of the world cup squad selection. I hope he finds a few new ones.

In all honesty, only three players have come out of this tournement with much credit. Jamie Noon,Mark Cueto (just) and Joe Worsley. IMO of course.

Yeah..........hard to pick ANY champions on 6 Nations form there Dawsey.......but not just for England............noone really stood out at all...... from any country......

Robinson better start his rebuilding now..........(with whom)......it's only just over a year away!!!!

It has been such a different tournament to Super 14 you would think that they are playing different games!

One last comment on Dallaglio........either use him big time or get him out of there.....can't have him sittin' on the sidelines....he's been too good a servant for that......he laid down his life alongside Martin Johston at the last RWC and I believe that England needs to be inspired by that same passion again.....I saw none of it in this 6 Nations for England (after the openning match)

That's my whole point in a nutshell. If Dallaglio is in the squad he leads it, whether he is captain or not, even to the point of bagging on the whole setup in the papers. He may have made a mistake by quitting international rugby but it was his choice, and his presence in the squad is a good example of Robinson's indecisiveness.

To my mind, Dallaglio should either be captain or not there at all. If he is good enough to play at 8 then give him the big job. The way it looks to me though, is since he came back England have struggled.

The other point, Tait, is the first worrisome sign we were given by Robinson. Last 6 nations the press got on his back about the centre pairing and held up poor old M Tait as the finest running centre in England. So Robinson, bizzarrely to my mind, picks the kid to play his first full international against Wales in cardiff? I think he was 17 at the time and he promptly got smashed by Gavin Henson, possibly the best 12\13 in the world at the time. He has not been in a squad since.

Call Clive Woodward what you like, but he is one of the most astute man-managers I have ever seen. I'm sure Andy Robinson is a good coach, CW would not have had him there otherwise, but Dallaglio and Tait prove to me that the guy is not the manager that he needs to be.

I was kinda pleased for Munster, but green as hell that Sale were not there. I think Munster will go on to win it now, Biarritz won't have enough to hold them.
