SOCCER the secondary offside rule
This is not sour grapes as i am not Rangers fan but anyone who saw the chamions league match versus Villareal there 2nd goal i can not believe it was allowed when the ball was headed back into the box there were clearly 2 players 5 yards offside, but because the ball fell to a player who was onside he was allowed to cross the ball for Forlan who was now onside to score, How the hell are you supposed to defend against stupid rules like that.

But thats the new rules, He was onside...
On a sidenote did you see the one when he was clear on goal and onside, And the linesman flagged him offside... Could have been even worse for Rangers....

And another sidenote, did you see the handball the ref missed, Rangers should have had a penalty

Rules is rules....and I'm not just saying that as an Aberdeen fan, who don't exactly have a great affinity for the Glasgow biggots.......rules is rules.

Offside is a stupid rule, scrap it and then we will get games that are played on the whole pitch and not just in the middle third !!

Or a team full of Jimmy Greaves / Gary Linneker goalhangers mooching about in the opposition penalty area and never putting an honest tackle in in their whole careers.

The idea is that it would be the same for both sides, so if they did have "goalhangers" as such, then a defender would be needed to cover them, thus opening the game up to the full length of the pitch
I can't for the life of me see why we persist with such a stupid rule when it causes so much contraversy
