Football Chants

I was watching the Liverpool vs Everton local derby on the weekend and had a little chuckle to myself when the crowd started singing Steve Gerard Gerard (to the tune of Que sera sera) after he was sent off...........

It got me thinking of other famous chants heard over time including "you'll never walk alone" etc

My favourite tho' is "celtic we love you" sung to the tune of "Land of Hope and Glory".......typically sardonic Scottish..........

Britain seems to have this kind of thing down to a T at most sports........Swing Lo' sweet Chariot" at the Rugby and Cricket (Barmy Army) can also always be heard out loud and "Bread of Heaven" sung at any Welsh Rugby homegame is astoundingly beautiful..........

What's your favourite (s) and does this culture exist in your country...........Don't know about you but if I ever hear someone chant Aussie Ausssie Aussie..........Oi Oi Oi........I want to commit murder on all singing it!

One of my favourites was when a few years ago and the Welsh football team were doing quite well and they took the lead against a team that had recently beaten our friendly neighbours england.

The Welsh crowd just broke out singing "Are you watching, are you watching, are you watching england, are you watching england.

They seam to do it all the time now but at that time it was a classic.
