So Sven has named Rooney in his provisional 23 players for the World Cup in a months time.
What is the point? He won't be able to play, and if he was he wouldn't be match fit. For once I can understand Ferguson's anger at Rooney being taken.

Theo Walcott. A good idea to take him or a gamble. I must admit he is damn good, but hasn't even played in the premiership yet

Ah come on Dawsey, How could he have ever not brought Rooney?

Yes he is injured but he is so good that, If there is the slightest chance he was going to play in the later stages, You just cannot leave him at home, Its totally unthinkable... For me it makes perfect sence to bring him...

Theo Walcott is a shock, And I am of the same opinion as you, Just dont understand how he could play for England when he cant get into the Arsenal team, But then again maybe he could be the one to shine, Nobody knows about him, He could be a secret weapon...

The only problem I see with the team is that they are a bit light up front, With only Owen, Croach, Walcott and the injured Rooney... I think tey need another striker and personally I would have left Hargreaves out, And added another Striker.. Either Defoe or Bent...

PS: In saying all of that though, I have a feeling that Gerrard will be used behind the striker like he done for Liverpool a lot of last season, And I think he will be the star of the show (A little biast obviously) with Lampard supporting and Carrick holding...

My team would be......

Robinson

Neville Terry Carragher A.Cole

Beckham Carrick Lampard J.Cole

Gerrard

Owen
