all blacks vs walabies

Well boys...best 2 Rugby teams in the world at present IMHO are playing tomorrow night.................pause for disagreeing shouts here.............in the first of the Tri Nation Series

It should be a good one and I'm going down to ChristChurch for it.........

Be interresting to see the old master Larkham vs the new one Daniel Carter at five-eight and also to see if Auistralia have it up front in the scrums against the deadly all black front row.........

I think that if the weather is OK..........it has been freezing down south for the last couple of weeks with rain + snow storms..........it should be a close with with Wallabies dominating in the line outs and backs and AB's dominating in the forwrads and scrums in particular........I'm picking AB's by 8 points....with Australia to turn it around in their home match

I look forward to a great match!!!

Do you really think the Aussies will be that close Nelson. I know they beat a v poor England side comprehensively, but the ABs are a different animal.
I don't see the ABs losing home or away, and IMO the SA side is superior to the Wallabies at present. Should be a cracking game all the same.

Snow storms Its been in the low 30Cs for the past fortnight here

I've seen the Tri-Nations in Thailand twice now, and it looks like I will see at least part of it again. Can you post the game dates?

I think the All Blacks are head and shoulders above everyone else at the moment. South Africa seem to have gone off the boil again which is a bit of a surprise, they won it a couple of years ago with a very young team, I thought they were building really nicely for France 07.

All Blacks have far too much for Australia, I would go more than 8 points (maybe 20), and am wishing it was me that was going. Enjoy the game mate.

Thanks for those dates stevem.......I'll be in Patong for the two matches on the 22nd + 29th July.......and will be looking for a big screen + someone to watch with me.....I know one of those bars just down beach rd walking away from Bangla has one and shows the rugby.....could be an Irish bar I think???......waddayasay stevethaib?????

Hey dawsey.....I said with a fine track..... ......but if the weather is crook the Wallabies can bend over now......

Still think that they will be very competitive possibly even win with Larkham at #10.....they are a completely different team with the genius in.....don't forget he was out injured for those 7 losses last year..........so have taken them with 8.5 start...........just for $50 worth of fun.....to be there......hey either way I am a happy man!!!!!

Yeah I do put the Wallabies ahead of SA.........trouble in the camp over there and they are not even looking to score tries.........jake White will go after this series if they don't make a good showing......and that would be great for all of us!!!

Check out that AUS team.........magnificent backline....got bloody Giteau starting off the bench!!!!........great backrowers and line out but a poor front row lets them down.....I'd have Jeremy Paul at ****** rather than off the bench......he is a great strike player and scores heaps of tries.......did you guys see the Aus front rower break away try against Ireland from halfway 2 weeks ago????......brings tears to my eyes.....

All Blacks by 12.....

Whist Giteau is on the bench, I think playing Matt Rogers at second five is a risk for the Wallabies. The Irish targeted him and he was found wanting. I think that is the chink in the back line that Carter and Mauger have to exploit. No doubt as well Jerry Collins will be lining him up in his sights.

Mind you if Lote Tuqiri and Mortlock get a sniff then its goodnight nurse.....

Lets hope Jade Stadium is fog free for tomorrow night, forecast is for fine weather all day and with a high of 11 degrees.(first time above 10 degrees this week...

Enjoy the match Nelsonone

You can count me in for the 22nd for sure, but I will be gone for the 29th.

I watched it in the Aussie bar last time, not too bad but a bit claustrophobic. I saw the World Cup QF in the Green Man too, and that was excellent. I'm sure there will be plenty of options.

20 minutes in and the Aussies are a converted try up, which is a fair reflection of the game so far.

I'm a bit surprised just how suspect the All Black's 9/10 look. The forwards can't get to work because the scrum half is selling them short with flat passes in the wrong place. And your man Carter (who I consider to be a genius) looks a bit shaky too.

Australia seem to have become very proficient in the art of collapsing scrums too, and given their lack of an effective front row they needed to do something. I'm impressed with Australia so far, they have addressed their problems very cleverly.

Half time, and after a blazing first 20 the Aussies are firmly on the back foot now. They had two men at the first tackle every time to begin with but could not keep it up and the ABs forwards started to find gaps towards the end of the half.

I think they will build a score in the 2nd half, Australia need to dig deep and work their asses off or they will get a hiding. Still not too impressed with the ABs 9/10 though.

Unfortunately didn't get to see the match, but 32 -12 to the ABs looks a hiding to me.

Turned into a bit of a flogging in the end. Can't see why Australia took Gregan off but hey, I'm not picking the team am I?

It will be a massive turnaround if Australia get anything from the return game.

Not too impressed with Australia Chiefy. The All Blacks did their stuff very well, I just think the scrum half picked the wrong option a few times (they took him off - so someone else thinks so too!) and Carter had a bit of an off night.

It was a deep Carter drop-out which the Aussies scored their try from.

AB's controlled this game from start to finish. Chip and retake for one Aus try was Lathams individual brilliance. Tuqiri played well also. Rest of Aus backs were lethargic. 2nd Aus try was dubious with one of those "off your feet" malls with everyone fiddling around on the ground. AB's scored one in similar fashion...also dubious. Johnothon Kaplin was at his normal "ratshit", but his bad decisions probably went more All Blacks way(for a change)....I'm still sobbing after Welly 2001..... overall....AB's played disciplined, attractive, and positive rugby, and if they can maintain this form, will take some beating. Aussies looked lethargic, and lacking guidance...need to try and get stuck in, and not continue getting the shites with the ref.....get er done

Looks like the AB's gave the Australians a bashing with their "Handbags" ..
Another piece of Australian Advertising that has backfired....and worked against them by firing up the Black machine.

I am also sure George Gregans " 4 more years" jib at the last World Cup will also come back and bit him on his ar$e next year in France.

Well boys.....just back now after a weekend in Christ Church....it was a big weekend and I'm a bit foggy myself today.....palyed another shite round of golf at Clearwater yesterday......beautiful course but my game was missing....wonder why????

I don't think Wallabies were shite and if not for the sending off of Elsom with a 3 offense meltdown one after the other within 3 minutes it may well have been a different game.......Wallabies really lost the momentum with this plus a line out try against them and a ruck on the line try where Elsom should have been left a wide chasm there for both.....

Aussie scrum is still crap and they are gonna fiond it hard with this front row to be competitive in the Tri Nations IMHO.....although they mostly matched the AB's around the park elsewhere........

The duel of the 5's was interesting.....both didn't play that great but Carters' chargedown on Larkham at the end was great and I thought the score flattered the AB's a bit...........up until that point Aus had the AB's under pressure and looked like scoring several times at that passage of play.....

Wallabies need to take their penalty points when on offer too........had they have done that they would have put much more pressure on AB's and it would habve been a different game

Good points for AB's was a fantastic scrum effort.....a much improved lineout......and some fantastic defense.....the depth of the bench is awesome these days too.....

Good picking stevethaib...........20 points exactly......but I was happy to lose my $50
