Premier League starts tomorrow

Yes the reds have been poor so far, they have beaten Wrexham and Crewe and lost to Kaiserslautern , Grashoppers and Mainz by five goals.
The match against Maccabi Haifa they was lucky that they win

I put my money on The Blades

Dont think i have to wait long for replay on this one

I can't see Sheffield Utd or Watford troubling many teams this season.
Liverpool with their class should win that game

OK my forecast for the top 5 [this should cause some arguements ]

Chelsea
Liverpool
Man Utd
Tottenham
Arsenal

Sorry Gooners, A Cole is going, Bergkamp has gone and hasn't been replaced, Reyes wants out, Campbell has gone, no chance of a title this season.
Liverpool are the side to look out for, some very astute buys and could upset Chelsea.

I think that looks about right, With the exception of Tottenham finishing above the Arsenal, Cant see that happening.. Arsenal just have to much class for me and will push the other 3 this year...

I have a good feeling about this year with Liverpool.. Not sure if they can push on and win the title yet but I think they are gonna give Chelsea a run for there money... I am looking forward to it...

Now onto Liverpool's opening game against Sheffield Utd, 11-2 first game of the season does not sound to bad, When you consider Liverpool's recent record against the Blades away.. But I think Liverpool will fly out of the blocks this time around as it was last seasons bad start that cost them a real run at the title...

Btw.. Liverpool will be looking for there 14th consecitive win in the Premiership on Saturday and I wouldnt worry about the pre-season form, Last year we beat everybody we played in pre-season, And started really poorly so its not really a true indicator of form, This year so far when it really mattered against Maccabi and Chelsea the boys came through and won both games.. Im sure it will be the same on Saturday...

Shock result of the day will be the Villa holding the Arsenal... And the odds are really good for that one aswell, Its worth a flutter IMO.. Just for the draw though.. The Villa are home for O'Neills first game

Well I agree with most of what you said about Pre-season not being a true indicator and Arsenal being too good for Tottenham. But I can't see Man U finishing in the top 5. I reckon they may scap 5th or 6th if they bring in a few players before the transfer deadline.

As for the shock of the day. Im going to back Reading to beat Middlesborough. I think Reading will be a team to watch this year, if their first choice defence can stay fit. They have some really good attacking players.

Thats my two pence worth!

Well Sheffield Utd have always been a bogey side for Liverpool, Out of the last 3 before today, Liverpool have lost 2 and drawn one... Just hope Liverpool dont stumble like last year...

Liverpool-Shefield Utd 1-1
At least they did try but the capability wasent there
Agree it was a penalty, and is was cool taken by fowler.
But where is the creative play ?

I agree, I think when Alonso does not play they lack the creativity he brings to the game...

I went to the United game, in the new section with the hospitality and corporate boxes , the ground is looking great and I came away pretty hopeful for the season.

They looked hungry and up for it, I hope they can maintain that sort of pace and give Chelsea a run this time.
