Man Utd Chasing Young Scots Player
MANCHESTER UNITED are chasing last years young scottish player of the year 19 yeArs old STEVEN NAISMITH from my team Kilmarnock i have heard this story going around for a while but yesterday at the game v Falkirk i noticed Martin Ferguson fergies brother at the game he si there cheif scout so there must be substance to the rumour also 2 of todays newspapers in scotland are carrying the story today
This boy is the best young player to appear from scotland for many years i know for a fact killie turned down an offer of £1.200.000 for him from newcastle 2 weeks ago
He plays in the old keeny dalglish position just off the main striker and has scored 4 goals already this season in 4 games

What was the young Scot they nabbed from Celtic called? Liam Miller? He seems to have sunk without much of a trace. I'm not sure United will be in much of a rush to pay zillions for another youngster.
That said, if he is that good then they will maybe look at him as one for the future. At least he is over the age of consent, Chelski seem to be signing up every 10 year old who shows a bit of promise.

Many United fans have just seen this and breathed a huge sigh of relief - he's not a goalkeeper !!!!!

Too lightweight for the Premier league, and far to injury prone! Good passer of the ball though!

Yes,but he cant be that bad since he is picked for the Republic of Ireland squad for the Euro 2008 qualifier against Germany.

LIAM MILLAR moved from celtic to man utd on a bosman transfer i remember it caused a lot of bitterness at the time, and the guy was basically thrown on the sidelines at celtic for the last 6 months of his contract before his move.
the old days of laughing at scottish goalies is gone the current scottish no 1 CRAIG GORDON of hearts (only 21) is the best goalie scotland has ever had and is without doubt amongst the top 5 in europe even at this early stage of his carreer
steven naismith will not go cheaply killies last big player KRIS BOYD moved to rangers for only £400.000 because he had only 6 months on his contract and then proceeded to score 22 goals for rangers in only half a season before scoring 4 goals on his first 2 starts for scotland including a hat trick in our 5 goal win over bulgaria in japan having watched both these guys regularly i am without any doubt that naismith is 5 times the player boyd is i reckon he will move soon for £2,000,000
the dark days of berti vogts are gone did you notice the latest fifa rankings had scotland at 39 which is 34 places higher than vogts left them in there are loads of young guys ready to spring on the scene sean maloney at celtic, scott brown at hibs, steven smith at rangers , mark wilson celtic and zander diamond at aberdeen our under 19 team just unluckily lost 2-1 to spain in the euro championship final
Things are definately looking up for scottish international football and the reason is lack of cash which is stopping celtic and rangers from buying 2nd rate foreign players and now they are forced to rear their own young players.

He must be damn good then Talbotman if you can place him ahead of any of the following 5 European keepers.
Petr Cech Chelsea & Czech
Gianluigi Buffon Inter Milan & Italy
Paul Robinson Spurs & England
Jens Lehmann Arsenal & Germany
Jose Reina Liverpool & Spain
I must look out for this guy.

Maybe Diz,I didn't think of that
Big T, see if you can find some footage of the Scotland and Spurs keeper of the 1961 side. Bill Brown was his name, and a brilliant goalkeeper in his heyday.

GUYS AFTER watching paul robinson in the world cup i definately rate craig gordon better than him the new hammers goalie Robert Green will oust him from the england side this season !
also lehman and reina are good but not special
cheq and buffon yes definately special
we have not always had crap goalies remember andy goram he was very good! but this guy Gordon is special and he is 6 foot 2 tall as well

THE LATEST on steven naismith is that today monday august 28 he is in london with the kilmarnock manager having signing talks with arsenal the deal being talked about is £1,500,000 up front with an extra £500,000 when he makes his full debut for scotland or plays 30 games for arsenal first team he will also stay with kiliie till the end of the season it is proposed he flys down to london every sunday evening and trains at arsenal 2 days a week then trains with killie on thursday and fridays
the reason i know these things is because the head groundsman at kilmarnock lives next door to me !
