England v Andorra

It could and should have been more, 5 - 0 is always a good result,but the opposition were just inept. Good games for Gerrard and Crouch and pleased for Defoe to get a couple as well.
A decent start anyway.

I missed it, but was not that bothered. For me McLaren should get this single tournament, and if they flop again he should be gone.

I don't kid myself that England will win it, it will be every bit as hard to win as the World Cup, but we need a decent showing.

A good start for the new England though, all they can do is beat who they play. They did that well enough.

Well, Andorra wasnt really an opponent. As Hobbsy said, the whole country could be fit into the stadium where the game was.

Duncan guessed score of 3-0, Dodger 5-0 and Hobbsy 7-0.

But games that those ones isnt really interesting since people already know who is going to win.

I saw the game in the bar btw.

just like england we were playing a team of non entities there were 53,000 at the game i personally would not go and watch the pharoes or andorra with a free ticket the only good thing to come out of the game for scotland is that we look as if we now have 2 or 3 good strikers appearing on the scene at the same time Kris Boyd is just a natural goalscorer who will score goals in any comapny

much harder games on the horizon france and italy but unlike bertie vogts days we now wont go into these games without hope

good performance by ireland as well i watched the game on bbc 3 satelite channel and thought they deserved a draw

Andorra, Faroe Isles and countries of a similar size and footballing prowess should be in some early knock out league stage. It would give them games against equal opposition, it just a farce playing them, it must be sole destroying for them knowing they will loose every game, Andorra have a population of 66,000, there was more people watching the game, we should of just picked 11 from the crowd to play them.

Did you notice the first sub Andorra brought on had number 12 shirt, gave me a laugh, no name and they were using the first 11 shirts on the pitch, havn't seen that since I played!!!! expected oranges at half time as well.

At the moment im looking for any Andorian, San Marino, Faroe or Northen Irish blood in my parental history. As I think I could get a game in all there sides! Even with my kness and back fcuked.

The ENgland game! Why is Lampard still in the team? I havent seen him make one contribution in the last 6 or 7 matches he has played. All he does is come back from an advanced midfieild role to collect a pass, then knocks it right back to the player it came from. WOW. If he spun off, to collect a 1-2 behind the player who followed him, then fine. But he just jogs off to the side!

We have our first game tonight and won 2-0 in Island, a very good start after the big win over N. Irland a few days ago.
