Best foreign player ever from English Premiership?

Another thread got me thinking. Who do you consider the very best player from abroad ever ,to play in the premiership?

My top 3 + a goalkeeper.

Eric Cantona
Gianfranco Zola
Thierry Henry

Peter Schmeichel

Apologies if I didn't mention "your" favourite 55555

I suppose before that you would have to think Ardilles and Villa, for breaking new ground. Maybe Thierry Henry given time, he is still writing his own history but has been awesome, and maybe some of the current Chelsea crop (surely one of them has to turn out to be decent )

Solskjaer is obviously one of the bargains of world football history, but at 1.1 million Cantona must be the best value ever.

Yep Solskjaer was/is a bargain, but not the influence of the players I mentioned IMHO

I wouldn't pick one of Chelsea's current players to join my list Petter.
Jurys out on Shevshenko, Makelele maybe, Robben no, Cech yes, Drogba 55555, sorry.

When you score the winning goal in CH,you cant have bigger influence for a club when its come to history and money

Think you are wrong,Footbal have changed, not many of the old players
would have a team place in Chelsea today,They have used their money to buy
the best players.

Makelele and Essien are top world defence players today

Ah well, we have to disagree then Petter. Solskjaer goal was in one match, not like Cantona influence over two seasons. He matured a lot of the Utd players in his time there.

As I said ,Makelele maybe, Essien has to do this for years to get on the list. 5555

hehe we continue this on the beach next year

Schmeichel was by far the best keeper, One of the best ever!!

Probably when Peter Ridsdale took out a 60m quid loan against future gate receipts.

WHAT!!!!!!!!

No Jan Molby!

Im sorry, but if your good enough to never leave the centre circle during a game of football in the cut and thrust world of the top english division. Then you must be some player!

And yes, he is my role model for life. I am trying to look like him!

Well, if we are to include Jan Molby then how about that chap who was supposed to be George Weah's cousin and was subbed on then subbed off for his first game for the mighty Southampton?
