Rugby League - Tri Nations Final - Aus vs NZ

Don't know how many of you watched this but it was one of the best games I've seen for a while. Both teams putting in a gargantuan effort which came right down to the wire in extra time. Sure there was plenty of mistakes on both sides but there was enough brilliant moments to more than make up for it.

Sorry river, union is my preferred code, but I will watch the rerun tomorrow pm. It couldn't have been much closer.

Same same, although league does have that certain gladiatorial aspect to it which I enjoy watching from a safe distance.

was a great game dont think I like the golden point deal(first scorer wins in extra time)
believe should play out extra time and if same score then joint winners.
NZ's never gave up and was most impressed by there game,Lockyer does it again for aust.

The Golden Point ruling sucks big time, even in the NRL competition. I would just rather see a return draws.

I watched the game great spectacle..I think the golden rule is fine ..there has to be a winner in tri nation games cant have 2 winners at this level .take a look at soccer shoot outs I dont agree with that, but the first team to score after full time cant see a problem ..the team playing best usaully finishes on top

Just seen the highlights of the match and it was a cracker.

I'll go with the golden point rule, Maybe extra time first, much better than penalties as in soccer.

aust first try off forward pass, the penalties we were given in kicking range would not be given in club games, aust were very very lucky.
nz has jones, vagna, and wiki retiring will be huge losses for them.

Golden point should be thrown out IMHO, extra time maybe for tri nations deciders, grand finals and such.

Yes AD three of the greats retiring will be a huge loss but gives other players a chance to prove themselves. We just need to find another long lost grandmother for Nathan Fien.
