Rugby - Englands new coach
England have unvield Brian Aashton as there new head coach today.
He has been promoted from being the attack coach to head coach at 60 years old this is can only be seen as a stop gap until after the world cup then it may well be bye bye Brian. Maybe not a mistake for the near future but they should have looked a bit more long term. Merry Xmas Brian your going to have a tough Spring.

Bit long in the tooth to be a sacrificial lamb I suppose, but that's what he is.

Not a good choice IMO. He has been the "attack coach" for quite a while, and he doesn't fill me with much hope for the future.
Ashton, when he coached Ireland got poor results, although he was dealing with a squad with less talent than England currently have. How Ireland have come on ,and England have fallen back since 03
