    Books on Sports

Anything related to Sports, like biographies, clubs, etc.

What have you read and how was it?

I bought this book, "Newcastle United: Fifty Years of Hurt", by Ged Clarke.

I have met some really passionate fans of Newcastle, and i was curious why 50 years of hurt? I thought they would have won something along the years.

Halfway into the book, not bad. Very interesting.

    Cheers.

    Cool

I know it is to do with Horses, but it's not a book about horse racing, just an autobiography of a man who has been a big influence on the training methods.

The Man Who Listens To Horses - Monty Roberts.

    Synopsis
When Monty Roberts was 13 years old he went off on his own to the deserts of Nevada to watch Mustangs in the wild. What he learned about their methods of communication changed his life and earned him recognition among horse breeders and trainers around the world. This is his autobiography.

I just couldn't put this book down when I read it. In it, Monty details his life and there are some very good stories and experiences in it, I especially love the one he tells which details how he became a legend in Ireland !!
