Not sad at all.. Need the Saffer channels to get good Super 14 coverage.. UBC has its head up its ass where rugby is concerned.. 5 channels of non stop football, 'classic' matches, and often no live coverage of important games !!

yep....and he looks good too Cliff!!!!
My two home teams are Waratah's (Sydney) and Hurricanes (Wellington).......and I think both could figure in finals....as they did last year...but Hurricanes will be withoiut 5 All Blacks for the first half of the season.........so may not make it.....
Crusaders will peak towards the end of the season as usual but they too will be missing half a team of ABs for the first half of the season......
Can't see any SA teams doing very well!!

Thanks for the squad Cliff...........hadn't actually caught up with that news yet....way too early in the year for me to get my head around.......
Vickerman and Lyons from that list will definitely be sorely misssed........Dunning as a back up too I guess...but i don't rate him at all.......

I am fairly sure Steve has the SA sat setup (multichoice) in the aussie bar on Bangla.. Also I think his system is wired where he hac control different plasmas to different sources so if you are wanting to watch something and the bar is watching something else he can turn it on one of the many other screens..
I would actually like the Multichoice package for its sport coverage..

I thought it was strange going so late....there were some off field incidents there last season....worked all right grounded out a win fair start.

well they are certainly better than the Australian teams at present...who are just woeful.........but let's just wait and see how they travel........and how they perform against the NZ teams once the 22 All Black players return to their teams....

agree with you on that Cliff....much to my horror.....have been folowing them since the inception of Super Rugby ........Hurricanes (my adopted team since I've lived here) too are probably out of it now......
Waratahs got off to a good start in SA with a win but have looked terrible since.....it was a tough start with 3 games in SA then a bye........but they still should have won that one last weekend against the Force.........unfortunately that was the tell tale sign for me...........and I can't see any Aussie teams in the finals series now.....
Blues, Sharks, Lions and Crusaders will make up the top 4 IMHO..........
