Look at this scenario, Wigan have not won a game in 9matches now but can still save themselves if they beat Sheffield Utd on the last day, Now all they need to do is beat Sheffield by a single goal..
If they do that and West Ham cannot get a result against Man Utd.. Then West Ham are down...
If West Ham can get at least a Draw against Man Utd and Wigan win, Sheffield Utd are down

Its closer at the bottom than it is at the top 55555555

I HAVE BEEN thinking about jonnys point about united going for revenge well just think about it there will only be two united players scholes and giggs who were involved in that match then you have rio ferdinand and carrick ex west ham players i actually think ferdinand played for west ham in that match and carrick spent 6 years as a hammers player he was not one of the rats who deserted the team when they were last relegated he stayed there for one season to try to get them back up at the first attempt i cant see these two guys busting a gut to relegate the hammers thats why i think it will be a 1-1 draw
the thing that worries me is a dirty deal between sheff utd and wigan where they will just piss about and if they hear the hammers are a coule of goals behaind with maybe 10 mins to go then wigan are allowed to score

Well I was talking to another Utd supporter today and he said the exact same thing as IJ so maybe they will field a full squad, And Fergie will make sure they know they are playing for places for the final, That is plenty of insentive to bust a gut to get a result..
Dont agree with the Sheff v Wigan scenario, It would not benifit Sheffield Utd in the slightest, They will want to win at all costs to make sure of there own survival, I dont think they care who goes down aslong as its not them!!

5555555 IT simply wont matter what the result is at old trafford jonny because wigan are truly shi te and wont win at sheffield !!!!
i still say any 50-50 ball will be won by a hammers player dont care about revenge theories a motivated team will always do well against a side just going through the motions !
united have a cup final 6 days later do you really think they give a f uck about the west ham game ? their priorities are to get out of that game uninjured FERGIES quotes in the press and media about fielding strong sides well he has got to say that dosnt he if he said the truth "we dont give a **** about who goes down or the rssult against west ham" then he would get pasted in the media
i will tell you now the team he puts out on saturday will have only 2 players remaining from the game jonny is talking about and also 2 ex hammers players who i genuinely think will not want the hammers down .
next season if the hammers survive
THEY will sign at least 4 top quality players
they surely must have better luck on the injury front (this season has been a disaster)
they will get shot of all the gutless non triers HAREWOOD/KONCESKY/MULLENS/BOWYER/BENAYOUN/ETHERINGTON/
who have spread unrest in the camp
they will learn form this season and will finish top 8 minimum
WIGAN if they survive will buy more cast off second rate players and will finish bottom 3

Regards Wigan vs Sheff U and potential dodgy dealings there is at least some incentive for Sheffield Utd in seeing West Ham going down as it puts to bed the possible lawsuit againt WH or the premier league over the points West Ham should have had deducted. Not to say there will be any match fixing going on but there is a motive there.
I agree with you talbotman the West Ham game probably won't come into it, Wigan are useless and I'd be surprised if they can even score a goal tomorrow.

Going right down to the wire. Can't see W Ham getting anything from the Utd game, except a beating. Maybe that Wigan goal will send the Hammers down.

WEST HAM DEFENCE IS FANTASTIC TODAY
as curbishely says earlier in the season they were unable to field more than 2 of the same defenders for two games in a row because of injuries thats why they were leaking goals that boy collins looks a great center half
