First ever soccer goal in Croke Park... Scored by a man called Stephen Ireland!

Good stuff!

Honestly I would not be so sure about that

Israel are no pushovers at home, In our last qualifying group for the World Cup, Nobody could beat them at home, Thats including France and Holland who both drew there, So its not a forgone conclusion...

Although I think England will just shade it

70 minutes in and no score, England are woeful.

I'm currently sat fettling my CV in order to be ready for the moment the vacancy of England Head Coach comes up; it can't be long now. I know **** all about the game, but that doesn't seem to neccessarily exclude me if recent history is anything to go by.....

...well, not over yet, Germany is currently playing the Tchecks 1:0 at half time. Good game so far and Ballack is playing very well again. He looks a little bit displaced at Chelseas.

I'm just glad I haven't got Sky TV, only cable. I may have been tempted to watch the England game. England always flatter to deceive. Good on paper, crap on the grass.

As playing test cricket is what its all about...

Apart from 86 and 90 you are right...

They just dont have any balance whatsoever...

Lampard once again was rubbish, Most wasteful player in the team...

Gerrard looked lost on the right and needs to be in the middle, Showed glimpes of his class, Creating a few chances but he needs to drive a team from the middle, How long does he have to wait before he gets a chance?...

Lennon looked really bright in the first half, But lost his way in the second...

Should start on the right side of midfield, Too many players playing out of position..

You got me doubting there, so I had to look it up.

Holland were in a qualifing group with Czech Rep., Romania, Finland, Macedonia, Armenia and Andorra. We drew 2 times against the mighty Macedonians. We didn’t play Israel in a looooonng time.

And about England …… their playing style is all to predictable and it’s to easy to defend. Even for the smaller countries. Could certainly blame (the inspirational and charismatic … LOL) Steve McClaren there.
