Champions League 2007
Okay, we have FA Cup, EURO Qualifications, Premiership...I've not see a thread re Champions League....
Big Night Tonight, Q-Finals this week, second leg:
Tonight:
Quarter-finals
Agg. First leg
Roma - Man. United 2-1
Chelsea - Valencia 1-1
First-leg home team shown first.
First-leg home team score shown first for both legs.
Tomorrow:
Quarter-finals
Agg. First leg
Milan - Bayern 2-2
PSV - Liverpool 0-3
My vote goes for Bayern Munich, it would be about time ;-)
Nanook I guess goes for the almost impossible mission for PSV Eindhoven, but
what Liverpool did a couple of years ago could become against them..goes around comes around 555
Enjoy the games tonight and tomorrow !!!

All over in Manchester - Manchester all over Roma like a rash and 4-0 up at half time...best 20 mins of football on tv in ages
now 5-0.......few mins into 2nd half

I must say, great game from Man U.
Switched around between Chelsea and Man U game, and although the Man U game was done score wise, it was so much more fun to watch 5555
Chelsea's really lucky with that last minute goal.
Looking forward to Munich tomorrow, looks like 3 English Teams are through...

Yeah Ub2yoo, it will sure be a mission impossible for PSV. I am not a PSV fan (Ajax), but for European cup games, I support all the Dutch clubs.
However, PSV is in a big slump since the winterbreak. Their lead in the Dutch lead has been reduced from 12 to 2 points and if Ajax didn't play so lousy last weekend, they would have passed PSV.
Anyway, of course Liverpool is top favorite and PSV should be careful not to get demolished at Anfield.
Too bad Chelsea won. Not for the team or some of the players, but I just hate Mourinho. Man United was just great.
So we will have Liverpools vs. Chelseas and AC Milan vs. Man. United in the semis.
I don't care who wins it, as long as it is NOT Bayern Munchen!

Yes I do very much . Even despite they have two very good Dutch players with Makaay and van Bommel.
But I don't like their general attitude and I still remember how they screwed up the farewell game of Johan Cruijff in the past . All because they had lost to Ajax a few times in the then European Cup 1, as it was called back then. They were just playing this game to humiliate him. Moreover, in a recent tv documentary guys like Breitner, Mayer and Hoenes even admitted it on tv.

It's a strange season in the bundesliga... Hamburg were down the bottom for quite a while.... Now Gladbach... And Bayern are not doing that well either..

and this coming from a Citeh fan......
Man Utd, last night.......
I was watching that sports show last night with Steve McMahon and some no names (I think one of em's called Chevvy/Shevvy, you know, indian fella). It was a discussion of the upcoming matches. Three of the four said Utd had no one in the line up who could score.....went along the lines of:
"Without Scholes, who is gonna score in the midfield? Carrick? No chance!"
'and Rooney's scored once in 18 Champions League games'
"Yeh, then you've got Ronaldo, a good player but never scored in the competition!"
'Smith's in the line-up, hmm, NO'
You've got to laugh.
The possibility of three English teams in the semi's? It'll do for me.

Hahaha..... nice result! And who basically killed them?
Clarence Seedorf, a Dutch guy!!!!!
Where did he learn the game? You can guess.... He started to play for Ajax at age 10 or 11. Has a great career, except in out National Team.
