FA Cup Final
 Chelsea 1 Man Utd 0
Not a great game, but a great result for Chelsea fans . I think both sides were worn out after a long season. The goal by Drogba was well worked, but Utd had the best chances.
Not such a bad season after all, FA Cup, Challenge Cup, semi final of European Cup,and 2nd in the league.

I watched the match but couldn't really hear the commentary. Other than the referee not seeing it, is there a reason why the "goal" that Man U scored, or at least "pushed in" would not count? Is there a rule on that? Just curious.....

Yes its a rule when the keeper have the ball with both hands, you can not push him into the goal, should be a free kick if the refree had done it right.
Stupid of Giggs to complain

I was in Angelwitch, and by the time I had dragged my eyes off the stage, I had missed the goal. Oh well! Going to a gogo in Pattaya, shows my level of interest in the Cup Final.

I really enjoyed the final, a number of people here said they thought it was really boring. I liked the tatical battle that was fought out by two very good teams in the first half, liked the second half as they both pushed that little bit more, liked working out why the managers were making the subs they did and when and enjoyed it cos there was a nice result before penalties, would have felt sorry for Chelsea if they had lost again on penalties.

Jesus what a shite match that was. I honestly nearly fell asleep watching that in a bar in Crete, And I was not the only one as even some of the Utd fans thought it was a boring game and lost interest before the end, Also not sure how it was like that Arsenal match, Utd totally dominated Arsenal but it was still a good match, Whereas this one I dont think any of them deserved to win win as they were equally poor!!
Anyway, Congradulations Dawsey

Thanks Ally
I agree with you, it was a poor match. Neither side wanted to lose, and that was the problem. Hardly a game befitting the new stadium.
Commiserations on the Euro Cup loss.

Isn't that the case in most matches.

Yes, but both sides could have made more effort to actually win it.
Chelsea waited until 15mins from the end to give the only guy playing in attack some support, and Utd were all too often in a good position with no support for the player breaking with the ball.
Didn't alter the fact it was a really poor game that is supposed to showcase all that is good about British cup football.
