love it always seems some battlers are on the leader board, always get my copy of "tin cup" out and watch it this time of year.

If I could go to any sporting event in the world this would be it.

I think about +9 could be the score need to be very straight murder rough !

I reckon about 4-6 under will be the winning score after watching a little this morning.....that pretty boy englishman Nick Dougherty had a good first round....under par

but the Tiger and Ogilvy pairing weree even par....and may well produce the winner

I'll go along with you N1, 4 or 5 under, to win. (maybe)

Today's (Thursday) conditions were as easy as it's going to be. Rain last night, soft/slow greens, and easy pin positions.

As Veejay said, "the tough pin positions are still out there." And, "conditions will toughen...we have a LONG week ahead of us."

Typical "open" rough...5 to 6 inches. I'll be surprised, if more players do not have injured wrists (Michelson), after hitting out of that stuff.

Sh1t, if I played there, I'd run out of balls in three holes.

You'd never find your ball in that stuff, without a "forecaddy".

Not good to be off the fairway...and the fairway's are soooo skinny!

With things staying drier then scores will be harder to find so reckon the wiley old IJ might just be right here 3 over to level par to win, of the top 10 golfers, I reckon Vijay or Furyk to win it, with my outsider bet going to do well, Martin the guy from Spain, turned pro this year after winning portuguese open as an amateur, first 2 days with Ollie and Sergio, settle him in. And what the feck has happened to Sergio, he started hitting the late night venues or what???

As I just started to have some golflessons here, I would like to watch it. But the Dutch TV doesn't like to show golf... grrrr.... and it not shown on the BBC either! Bad luck!

Yes I think Tiger will probably win it, especially if he gets his putter working today.

Justin Rose maybe as a roughie?

im so sick of watching golf and it being all about Tiger
it gets boring

and why hasnt anybody posed the question that Tiger can not come back and win a Major if he isnt winning coming into Sunday??

i have never seen a pro athlete get as much slack for a draught like that in my life

im not saying he isnt a great player, but someone has to question his failing to come back and win on a Sunday

He get's no slack from me, on this weekend.

Although he clearly did the very best he could, (god he was slow...2 holes behind on 16), IMO he really gave the tourney away. He hit the ball fairly well, but couldn't make the birdie's. When he hit it poorly, he made the par putt's.

To WIN there, you have to hit the ball well, AND make the putts.

Hat's off to Argentina's new star..."El Paco". (Angel Cabrerra)

What kind of odds do you think you might have gotten, picking a "dark horse", named Angel Cabrera?55555

Commentators reckon the only reason the scores were around +6 was because there was virtually no wind over the whole four days.

Reckon if the conditions were "normal" with some wind it would have been closer to +15 !!

Sad about Rose and Casey folding over the last day, thought one of might make the top three, thought for awhile furyk was going to sneak it and then certain Tiger would birdie one of the last 3 holes, especially the 17th to make a play off. Anyway hats off to Cabrera, he'll be saint now in Argentina, he was about th eonly one with Tiger playing consistently steady. Secretly I wanted Tiger to win as I want him to beat Jacks record of major titles, but the is plenty of time I suppose.
