Crazy penalty shoot-out!
Last night was the semi finals of the European Championships for national teams under 21. The game was between The Netherlands and England.
After extra time it finished 1-1 and then a total of 32 penalties were taken. 16 for each team. Finally Holland won it. Without trying to be chauvinistic, I think the victory was a deserved one. But I never saw such a crazy penalty shoot-out before.

Never actually saw it...But its all over the news...Game lasted over 3 hours...

That's amazing, considering that both Holland and England suck at taking penalties in the senior ranks!!

WC 1998: Lost to Brazil in the semi finals. EC 2000: Lost to Italy in the semi finals. And finally... for once we were lucky as we beat Sweden (sorry Nicke  ) in the quarter finals of the EC 2004. Hopefully the tide has changed now...

Yes, as it went on and on, the goalies also had to take a penalty. The game lasted for over 3 hours. Almost like a Stanley Cup play-off game! Hope you will see a couple of good games there Marc, so enjoy yourself. I actually don't think our team is playing there as well.
