Hatton vs Castillo
The British are coming!!
11,000 out of 19,000 seats were sold in England for this fight
I am predicting the fight of the year with Hatton winning by decision
I am a big fan of Mexican boxers but respect Ricky HAtton so I'm rooting for Castillo but also like Hatton
PS-i have some friends in LV and they said the Brit fans are making quite a ruckus, acting like fools singing and chanting everywhere they go
I guess the hooligans can leave England but are still hooligans 555555

How does singing and chanting and enjoying themselves make them hooligans? have they caused damaged, smashed bars up? Caused fights? Funny how Brits (these guys are English btw) are either consider too pompous and stuck up or a bunch of hooligans, never any middle ground.
maybe all sporting events should be as lifeless as the States? You wouldn't see that number travel to see an event outside the States...LOL
Anyway...Hatton beat him easy.....anyone gonna give this boy a decent fight?

I was just trying to get a rise out of people. 55555
But in all seriousness I think all that singing and chanting is fine at the events, even pretty cool although I don't know how they can concentrate on a fight while singing
But I do think its a little boorish doing in the streets and inside buildings like casinos and clubs because you are then causing a ruckus
As for Hatton there is plenty of people to give him a fight if he goes up to welterweight. Hatton-Cotto would be a great fight

There is something about a liver punch ending a fight that troubles me. OK, I have never been hit in the liver by a professional boxer or anyone, nor would I want to, but seeing Oscar de la Hoya down on the canvas against Hopkins with plenty of strength to bash the canvas with his fist as he was down and yell "damn" several times, but not enough strength to get up and continue to fight just troubles me.
I think boxing pros, in general, are starting to figure out how to maximize their career earnings rather than do it for the love of the game and desire to compete. Or, maybe they realize in any given fight that they can't win and just give up. Neither are the sign of a true champion, but maybe that word is overrated at the moment in boxing. I hope it is not a trend.
Hatton... hats off to him. He's the kind of guy that I think comes from the old school and will fight until he's got nothing in the tank or just plain loses. He's a throwback to the old days and refreshing to watch IMHO, but so far he's not been in any real trouble... Mayweather maybe???

Castillo was just done, you could tell from the opening bell
he was a warrior,(him and Corrales had one fo the top 5 fights ever) and thats why i thought it was going to be a great fight because Hatton would've stood in there if need be
I just think he has been through too many wars and i do think he bailed on the punch last night

Tanman, sport is ruined the world over by money. The soccer(football) players in Europe are earning £100000+ per week. There is no 'heart' at all in todays game...I used to be a fan of soccer but the last few years ive gone right off it. Players throwing themselves on the ground and calling foul at every opportunity incase they break a nail or a hair goes out of place 5555
In Ireland our national sport is hurling. Its arguably the fastest and oldest field game in europe. I love it!! An amateur sport where the guys train for 6-7 evenings a week and don't get paid (maybe they get a cushy job but that's it). These guys have 'heart' by the bucket load. 80000+ attendances for an amateur sport aint bad.....
