Asian Cup 2007

Well thank god Australia managed to get over Thailand - there was a real packed house in Bangkok, would have loved to have been at the game to stick it to the Thais :P Most entertaining game of the tournament so far. Although I think Thailand were actually the better team on the night, especially in that second half. They created far more chances but were just extremely unlucky not to convert any of them. The 4-0 scoreline was unfair really. Next stop - Japan on friday, should be a cracker.

Well so much for that. Even Harry Kewell misses penalties.

I would have thought the Japanese would have tried harder, when Aus was down to ten men. Well done the 'roos for keeping it all square till the penalty shoot out.

As I was in Malaysia recently for renewing my VISA, the local papers said Malaysian team was a disaster and Malaysian people was very sad. It was along the lines that gov invested a lot of money into the team but they never performed, for the last 30 years or so and that the management should be outed for something new.

Malaysia is like Thailand, they love football but cant put a decent team together but trying hard to do so.

Nicke, i dont think sad is the word, probably ANGRY. As for me and most of my friends, we couldnt be bothered bout the local football scene. I dont even know the teams, the players' names or even stadiums.

Nothing has been done for so many years, and all the talk bout change is nothing new. Just talk as usual.

I was hoping Man Utd come here, well at least their Asian Tour games are shown on TV. The pub i go to dont even show the ASIAN Cup, they rather put something else on.

That shows a lot bout sports in Malaysia. We have had enough.

I thought Thailand were very creditable in this Asian Cup tournanent. They drew with Iraq, then easily beat Oman, and played well against Australia before tiring late in the match in a scoreline which flattered Australia.

Definite improvement.
