I'm not sure if this is the way to go if we want to stay in the top half of the premiership, never mind world domination.......
As the article points out, I think this is more to do with politics than football and can't see Thaksin pressurising Sven to field these players. Definately not good business footballwise.

Well, just the standard faire coming out of Eastlands again at the weekend..........Baldrick scores a volley.........
I'm beginning to take a liking to Mad Stevie Ireland, he certainly does seem to be improving.
Tough for Reading though, to lose in the third minute of injury time........
Sven has been quoted as saying when talking about the staff at Eastlands:
"The important thing is that we keep our feet on the ground."
"As for the fans, why shouldn't they dream and be happy over what we are doing? It's fantastic out in Manchester when we do well."
And on another note, the Daily Mirror claims:
"THE search for Chant of the Season is officially over after Manchester City fans unveiled this classic, to the tune of Lord of the Dance, at Eastlands:
"Sven, Sven wherever you may be,
You are the pride of Man City
You can s**g my wife on our settee
If we win a cup at Wem-ber-lee."

.......and Reading's goalkeeper graciously conceded.........
“He didn’t do anything all game. He was probably their worst player and then all of a sudden he hits one off his shin and it goes in the top corner. It sucks.”

After last week's boring draw with Wigan, the only highlight being the fastest prem goal so far this season, we had the ideal opportunity to get back in the top four.
Liverpool had lost, Arsenal had lost.........Chelsea, Arsenal and Portsmouth are all going to struggle during the African Nations and I can see points being dropped amongst the top four next weekend (Two draws would do me fine). So what happens? Chimbonda puts Spurs ahead, using his arm, from an off-side position then Mad Stevie gets himself sent off after we have levelled the score.
Baldrick being suspended for the next three games may well turn out to be a blessing in disguise!!

P'eed off of Phuket.
What a wasted two weekends!!! draw with wigan when a win would have put us third, then yesterday's game!!!
Can we get whoever it is to look at that game, as if that first goal was not handball then it was clearly offside, how long can we let this crap (or bribed) refereeing go on for???
Cannot agree more about Baldrick, why is Sven not giving Giovanni more games, he looks class when he plays, but keeps only getting last few minutes as sub?? (except he played yesterday), is it because he plays similar game to Elano?

This is the start of our survival in the top half until January, then buy a decent striker (not so sure Adriano is the man, but will see) a holding midfield player and heh presto watch out!!!

Guess Who's House This Is ?
A couple of times this year I have been to the grounds of this magnificent mansion in a part of the country where property prices would be as high as anywhere outside of the nicer parts of London.
I am not on personal terms with the owner, it is just that we rent stables off him for some racehorses who for one reason or another are out of training at the moment.
The owner of the property is a former racehorse trainer;so why is the picture in this thread you may be thinking Well back in the sixties and seventies he was a Manchester City legend when City had a cracking good team.
Perhaps the car registration gives you City fans a massive clue

Spot on Dawsey, yes Francis Lee.
It is a glorious place, tucked away in the Cheshire countryside area of Wilmslow and Alderley Edge. With stables large enough to accomodate over fifty horses along with at least 30 acres of galops and paddocks, it must be a £5 million property.

Why do houses in UK lack windows?? The house in question looks pretty boring, except the English style. (We used to have an English pub in my home town with similar look)

If thats a tudor mansion, glass was very expensive and small. Then there is the fact thats it probably a listed building which means its appearence cant be changed. But im no expert

Isn't any sun to let in, in summer and helps keep the cold out in winter.

Another good win Tommy. Arsenal and Utd are playing some great football at present, though Utd were given a good run by Spurs today.

It is going to be an exciting and nail biting finish to the season, I am going to be a nervous wreck by the end of it. I am not even going to guess who will finish top as neither United nor Arsenal will drop many points. One shouldn't forget about Chelsea either who is lurking right behind. And for City? They are now in 7. place and must work hard to finish among the top 6. Not sure they will though....

Yep, well played Arsenal, congrats Tommy.
I anticipated that Christmas was going to be hard and thought we did OK over that period. Feb. always looked difficult but I thought we'd be doing a lot more during January's transfer window than we did. So I think we're in for a rough time over the next two, Man U. and Everton.
Watch for us to start picking up points in March and April away from home and I'm confident we'll make top six.........
.........somewhat less confident of making the FA cup semi......(I hate spurs)

I had to find time in a very busy work schedule to make this post. I see there's a thread about this but I haven't read it yet.
The thing I liked most about yesterday was not the result, but the honouring of the minutes silence by 76,000 people at OT yesterday. Like the good old days of honest sporting rivalry.
Maybe I'm just getting sentimental in my old age but yesterday I was proud to be not a blue or a red, but a mancunian.
