scotland the rave !

just had to do it especialy after dawsey put down the challenge i have lost my voice this morning after shouting myself hoarse last night i folowed scotland throughout europe from 1982 world cup until about 2000 when bertie vogts was around then i lost interest because basically he turned us into a laughing stock, fair play to the guys who still travelled in large numbers but i gave up my membership in the tartan army but now i may just be re-enlisting

fantastic result i only hope we dont blow it now ! who gave us a chance in this group certainly not me ! i was hoping for 3rd place with improved performances which would raise our fifa ranking and mean we would not be in a group of death again.

this scotland team will only get better apart from dave weir and barry ferguson all the other players are under 24 and now we are discovering players with genuine quality like the old days (souness, dalglish, etc) caraig gordon i told you all a year ago this guy was pure class he is definately up there with peter cech and gianlugi buffon he inspires confidence in the defence in front of him stepehen mcmanus absolutely magnificent and getting better all the time scott brown , he is going to be a hell of a player starti ng to look like a £4.500.00 steal for celtic james mcfadden just simply a player who improves 100% when he is playing in the scotland shirt kris boyd this guy is a pure goalscorer if he was playing for man utd or arsenal he would be a 30 goal a season man he neeads other guys to do all the hard work for him and he simply puts the ball in the net (van nistelroy style) got some good young players as well allan hutton and jay mceveley will become fixtures in the team along with shortly steven naismith and steven fletcher

maybe 2008 i will not make a thailand trip might need my dosh for austria/switzerland heres hoping !

Well i must say i did enjoy that match, topped off by sitting next to French people

Joke i just got in the mail

Ronaldinho, Zinedine Zidane and James McFadden are standing before God
at the
throne of Heaven.
God looks at them and says; "before granting you a place at my side, I
must first ask you what you believe in."

Addressing Ronaldinho first he asks, "what do you believe?"

Ronaldinho looks God in the eye and states passionately, "I believe
Football to be the food of life. Nothing else brings such unbridled joy
to so many people from the slums of Rio to the bright lights of
Barcelona.
I have devoted my life to bring such joy to people who stood on the
terraces supporting their club."

God looks up and offers Ronaldinho the seat to his left.

He then turns to ZiZou, "and you, Zinedine , what do you believe?"

Zidane stands tall and proud, "I believe courage, honour and passion are

the fundamentals to life and I've spent my whole playing career
providing a living embodiment of these traits."

God, moved by the passion of the speech offers Zidane the seat to his
right.

Finally, he turns to Faddy "and you, James, what do you believe?"

"I believe" says Faddy "you're sitting in my seat."

Well done Scotland and congratulations to all our Scottish BM's.

Watched football focus this week and all four 'football experts' gave Scotland absolutely no chance, like to see their pathetic little faces explain that result away this weekend!!!

well done to the jocks, fantastic performance beating the dastardly french.

hope the game against italy will be a cracker and the scots spirit gets them through that one.

the jocks at work almost overloaded the emails, sending video links of the goal.

Today I will be watching Scotland - Ukraine on the telly and I am actually a bit excited about this Scottish team. Will the go to the EC?? They have done one h*ll of a job so far and lets hope the continue.

Will be watching England - Estonia later in the day and for some reason I never have the same positive attitude towards them as I have for Scotland. A bit strange really since it is English football I follow... I hope it is Robinson in goal today, ha ha could be entertaining 55555555

Good luck Tommy and to all other Scots!!

ANOTHER fantastic performance and result from scotland now comes the game i am fearful of wednesday night away to georgia it would be typical scotland to lose to second raters like them after beating the better teams

one thing for sure if we winn we WILL get the point we need in our last game at home to italy

JAMES MCFADDEN what a player this guy has become for scotland much better than when he plays for everton

Yep, big congrats to Scotland Tommy. They have exceeded all expectation after being drawn in a difficult group. To be topping it now is fantastic for Scottish football. To think that Italy or France may now miss out.

Ooops. Bad day for Scotland and England although its in Scotlands hands if they beat Italy at home.
England on the other hand look fcuked now. Relying on Russia to drop points in their last two games. Oh well, we are in the Rugby World Cup Final..........that is something worth shouting about 55555

UNFORTUNATELY looks like we blew it big time last night terrible performance a throw back to the bertie vogts days the georgian keeper was 17 years old and had never played a first class match for his club side yet it took us until the 76th minute to hit a shot at him. showed up we dont have strengh in deph to have 6 players missing was too much for us , only playesr to get crewdit last night were mcfadden and ferguson the rest were PONY

we needed to make the italians come to hampden to have to win now a draw does them and we all know when the chips are down and the italians need a draw they gat a draw my prediction all along for this game was 1-1 and thats how i still see it so scotland will be out unless france lose to ukraine 3 nights later .

Cool

Tough break for you sweaties, but at least you are still in charge of your own destiny, i.e. a win against Italy and you're through to the finals, whereas that shower of sh1te wearing white should be forced to watch all the English rugby games from the current world Cup until they understand what representing your country is really about !!

I saw 2 different Scottish teams on Saturday and Wednesday. Too bad for them as they just lost an excellent position to qualify. I just love to see Scotland go through and the French stay home.
Now they will have a tough time against Italy, I fear.
